Responses to Threads

How will I know if someones responds to my questions/threads? I don't mean to sound ignorant but I've never been a member of a forum before. I have USED forums before to figure out a glitch and they usually send you an email saying you have a reply. Does it work like that here?

    Look to the top right of your original post. You'll see a little navbar that says: Linkback, Thread Tools, Search This Thread, and Rate Thread.

    Click on Thread Tools, and you will see an option to subscribe to the thread. You can do like I do and have instant email notifications sent to you every time there is a reply.

    Just click "Thread Tools" and then "Subscribe to this Thread"
    You can either opt for email notification or no email.

    If you choose no email, you can simply check for thread updates by clicking "User CP" in upper left hand corner and then choose "Subscribed Threads".

    Also when you post, there are some Advanced Options, one of which is "Subscribe to this thread".

    You can also click on your name, which takes you to your control panel, and then click on the link that says something like "see all posts by Redskins73" and get a listing of every post you've ever made.

    That comes in handy if there are older posts that you'd like to go back and revisit sometimes.

    another way, if you browse the forum list again, you will see "replied" icon on the thread that you have posted before.
