Wordpress seems to be THE ONE but..

Adsense, Yahoo, Chitika, TextLinkAds and other ads are not permitted to be added by users. Please send us feedback if you'd like to put ads on your blog, as we are considering such a feature for a future upgrade.

In addition to AdSense-type ads, please do not use the following services on your blog: sponsored / paid posts including PayPerPost, ReviewMe and Smorty; affiliate / referral links to the following domains: usercash, clickbank, clickhop, cashrocks, payingcash; clicktrackers (and any similar) and any promotion of the "I made a million on the internet and so can you" type of advertising (i.e. MLM, network marketing, cash gifting, etc.).

If you are in any doubt, please contact support for clarification.

We have a very low tolerance for blogs created purely for search engine optimization or commercial purposes, machine-generated blogs, and will continue to nuke them, so if that's what you're interested inm WordPress.com is not for you.

    Dude, Wordpress is the ONE. But please, please, please get your own domain and install it! Godaddy is the best. Its only $10 a year for the domain and $4 a month for economy hosting. 1 year from now you will be so, so sorry you built a blog on Wordpress and so, so happy you got started with your own domain!

    buddy the terms your quoted above are about Wordpress.com DOMAIN NAME!!!!
    But when say Wordpress , we mean the wordpress blogging script, which is
    open source and FREE, and can be downloaded from wordpress.org....

    and wordpress.com is just one site also using Wordpress script...so yes they
    can have any terms or conditions they want for their DOMAIN name...
    but when it comes to use Wordpress script (which is open source), you are
    free to use at your domain and do whatever you want to do with it!!!

    Wordpress.ORG and wordpress.COM are two completely different worlds!

    So you should always go with your own domain and install Wordpress on it,
    and do put all ads what you want to show there....

    but if you must go with some other online free blogging service...
    you should go with Blogspot.com , as you can put any add there you want to...
