amazon affiliate links in squidoo

Hi,

This may be a dumb question, but I just want to play safe. Can I put my amazon affiliate link in squidoo lenses.

Thanks.

Sure you can. I have plenty of my own lenses that include Amazon affiliate links. Just don't overdo it and make sure the lens is quality.

Yes you can. Another good thing about putting your Amazon affiliate link (as html text link) is you'll get full affiliate commission without have to split it with Squidoo like when you use their Amazon module.

You can put Amazon affiliate links to your lenses. You can also use Amazon modules made by Squidoo. You just need to insert ASIN numbers in it and the products will show up on your lenses. But if you do that, you share your earning with Squidoo. But when you sell something through Squidoo modules, your lensrank will be higher which will bring you more money as well.
By the way- I think you have a great looking blog and I'm eagerly looking forward to reading it.

Another reason using your own Amazon affiliate link outside of "Squidoo provided" modules/widgets is useful for targetting non-region based traffic. If Google keyword tool shows a larger global traffic search volume over the local based traffic you have an Amazon acct with, go t o Google Insights and see where that traffic is coming from. Amazon has 6 different cuntries & regions you can sign up associate accounts with. Then you can customize region-based affiliate product links to send searches from different regions to the Amazon platform in their geographic area.

You can't be in the United States and use a Squidoo widget to send let's say UK traffic to the Amazon ".com" platform, unless those people are willing to pay to have a product shipped overseas. You'd be better off joining the Amazon Associates program for the UK (which you can do regardless of where you're from), and then provides links for both US and UK readers to direct them to their respective regional Amazon site. This way you can earn commission from UK traffic buying products on Amazon.co.uk. You can do this in all the different countries Amazon has an Associates program in.

Rarely do people actually do this and most are leaving a ton of sales on the table because of this.

      Hi Logan Sargent!
..you mean we can do it using our links embedded in text, right? Because Squidoo Amazon modules don't seem to accept my italian affiliate links while everything works properly with amazon.com links

Yes! you can, Like everyone has been saying you are allowed to put those type of affiliate links. It`s a great way to earn from your lenses even more than you planned on. The click through rate is also very important and works out pretty well when you have targeted traffic from squidoo on your lenses.

You can, but i've heard that you need to put the same FTC disclaimer that you need if you promote Amazon on your own site.
