I run a Will Writing company...Who else can i ask to advertise with?

Hi

I run a Will writing company. Who else can i advertise with. Its a mixture of yes and no's when ive asked companies to exchange web links.:confused:

Ive contacted
  • Funeral directories
  • bowls clubs
  • care home
  • residential homes
  • flower arrangements
  • weddings - as couples update/produce new wills

Im not sure if im missing a huge market online that ive not thought about?

We are a new company to the world wide web and survived doing offline clients by word of mouth and having canvass team in relevant places but im having a brain freeze and cant seem to think of companies online that will say YES to link exchanges or to show our link/image link

thank you

I don't know if these will say yes, but a few that come to mind include:

Divorce attorneys (couples will probably want to change their wills if they are divorcing or have recently divorced)
    Financial planners
    Life insurance agents / companies
Anything that pertains to new parents or parents in general (to get them thinking about having a will in place for the sake of their children should anything happen to them)

Hope that helps (if nothing else, maybe those will spark more ideas for you).

    Hey Litherland,

Another one which I think would be KILLER (no pun intended) for you would be hospitals.

    Hope that helps!

You can run ads and have a half day workshop or something to educate your target audience. Alot of time, it's because they don't understand what benefits your services provide. Find ways to educate them, either have a webrinar, seminar, blog with tips etc.

    Litherland Hello

I ran a Will Writing Co, 1999 -2005. Before that worked for one WW Co. for 18 months. I generated business via cold calling, referrals and incentives. Worked well. Of course, here in the UK. You have to clean a telephones list for TPS before you call. Some people would say it's old school method but it is still working today in many industries includling travel, telecommunications and more recently those PPI people.

I can suggest perhap having a A5 leaflet made up with your services. And A4 Posters. Try asking local Doctors surgery if you can put some up. Include your Web address on it.

    What I did

    1. Called prospective client, said had a consultant in the area over the next two weeks.
    2. Asked 4/5 basic qualifying questions.
    3. Asked if I could send them an information leaflet.
    4. Told them someone would give them a follow up call the next week for their opinion.
Two or three minute phone call in total.

    On call Back:
    1. Called, asked if received and what they thought of the information sent.
    2. Asked if a consultant could call by for a NO obligation consultation.
    3. Made an appointment for later that week or the following week.
    4. Sent confirmation letter to arrive a few days before appt.
    5. Visited and made the sale.

Overall, got a 14%-22% response rate to cold calling. Got 70-90% sells once in the home or office. Worked every time.

    As for Online:

    1. You could pay for advertsing to get targeted visitors to your site, PPC etc.
    2. Get your site high up in the search engines. You can do a market anaysis of competitors sites to find out how you can beat them out in the SE listings. do relevant
    keyword anaysis etc.

    Hope this helps.
