Do you have the baby plan? Change the DNS on all sites to the new hostgator DNS.

When you're in the hostgator control panel, in the Domains box, click on "Addon Domains" and enter the site information. Where is reads "new domain name" type in the domain that you are transferring.

The subdomain will be automatically filled in.

Type your password and click "Add Domain" button.

does this mean my two sites (well 6 now) are merged? I have them transfered but now it seems they all come under the site i first signed up with?

...sorry for being a total noob.

For each website you are going to be hosting under that same hosting plan, you need to add an addon domain.

You need to change the nameservers for each domain name. When you create an addon domain, it will create the required DNS entries to point the domains to the correct site. IE - yoursite.com/othersite.com (other site being an additional site).

They should be able to explain how to do this..... You need to make sure you use the "add addon domain" feature, it creates the DNS records needed.
