Broadcasting Your List

Hello everyone

I wanted to see how you broadcast your list.

I know some people just don't get it. I still get an email every day for some junky product or they just go down the list in click bank for that niche. They don't even hide there affiliate link lol.

I cant learn any thing from it as there is no value.

I only broadcasted my list twice. Once with a theme and good copy. Didn't do so well. Then once with a normal short email with a link and it did great. Only one person didn't click on the link.

So to the people that understand value. How do you broadcast your list?

Do you send a normal email with a link or do you take the time with a good theme and copy?

Thanks
Justin

Have a broadcast schedule, I see many people only broadcast and do not use a sequence. It all depends on how interesting your email is and if you can make the visitor open the email every day.

Follow a pattern and try to have interesting+useful+money making content.

I have an newsletter sent out every week. That has great value in it self.

So you send out an email every day? How many people unsubcribe from your list?

Nothing against you but I hate getting an email everyday (value or not). An email everyday seems like there just trying to get my money.

I'm starting to send and email every week for a product on top of the newsletter. So two emails a week and one is not even a product.

What do you think would work better. A normal email with good content or a themed email with good content?

Since most of my sites are product based I will normally hit this list with a special discount to another site of mine. But in terms of promoting another persons service or product it's something I have to use first. Im just myself and honest in the emails, I dont promise instant riches im more down to earth and tell them how it can help then and maybe a few of my own tips in there to help assist them with what they might be buying to make their time and use of it better.

I have generally found that a short email broadcast with compelling title and introduction works best - always has for the years that I have been mailing my various lists.

Often those emails redirect people to tutorials, videos or other valuable content and the odd time it is directly to an offer - but mostly valuable content that also has a hook toward one of my products.

This is what I was looking for. Thank you.

Why do you think a short email is better then a themed one?

I understand you need good copy and a good tittle. Give value.

Why is it that people like a normal short email? Do you think they have a better personal connection with me?

First - in my own case, it is not "think" it is "know", I broadcast 2-3 times each week to my list and have for years now. I consistently get better response to shorter emails.

Once in a while I will throw a full article into my email just to change it up, but response is always better for short emails.

I think the explanation is very simple, most people really don't want to spend more than a few seconds on reading your email...if they resonate with it, they will click through and then you have them for longer (usually).

In general, I believe that delivery rates are higher for short emails as well (less content to get trapped in spam filters, etc...)

I broadcast to my list on a daily basis. Always entertaining or valuable and usually have something for them to take action on. Not necessarily something to buy but something to take action on like say join my Facebook group.

If you don't promote, you don't profit.

Create a consistent schedule that you can stick to. Each list is different, so you need to reflect that in your broadcast style.

Test times, number of emails set, number of promos sent.. Test and test some more... Subject lines, everything.

If you think everyday is too often, then don't do that.

I usually run 3 promos a week, and 2 content emails a week. Seems to work with my list but I am constantly testing. Good luck

    P.S
"Why do you think a short email is better then a themed one?"
Less salesy, less "corporate". People don't trust corporations, they trust people. The theme adds to this feeling, I think.

I create a short email, and let the autoresponder work itself. Only around holidays do i send special broadcast emails.
