Hate Change too? Bought New Laptop. Didn't Use. Old One With YEARS of Data Just Crashed. Ouch? Nope!

out the new one... and got back to work... without losing any
data. I didn't waste any time at all getting back to work. Even
when the new one was loading, I used my galaxy note to continue
from where I stopped.
Thanks to using Dropbox, Box and a few other solutions. If
you love your old laptop too but want to avoid losing all your
data WHEN (not if) it crashes, do what I did:
- Download and use either Dropbox or Box (both are free)
Dropbox.com - first 2GB space is free
Use Box.com - first 5 to 50GB is free
- Work DIRECTLY into your Dropbox.com or Box.com folder
(I just did a control + S seconds before my old laptop crashed,
and the last work I did was saved because I was doing it
directly onto my Dropbox folder.)
- Sync your browsers, so that everything you have on your
browser(s) - your bookmarks, extensions, apps, theme, and
other browser preferences are saved and synced, to be
accessible with any other computer, anytime.

I know these will not be new to most of us here, but there
may well be some who still either don't use online storage tools
like these or just wait to manually backup weekly or so... or even
those that don't back up at all,

What's funny is that it's so easy for today's generation to
take all these for granted, thinking this is how it always was.
Looking back at the days when I used different floppy disks
to move files from one computer to another and how I usually
lose lots of data due to corrupted floppy disks, it's amazing
how much things have changed. Just imagine what more
changes would happen in the next 5, 10 or 20 years time.
Do you use Dropbox or similar tools too? Any more tips to add to
help people like me who still hesitate to change from using old
laptop to new ones? Please share,
