Just Made My First Dollar in IM!

Finally...after really focusing on one thing, finding a niche that I truly love (it was underneath my nose this whole time), and learning, learning, and more learning...I made $3.95 in Adsense!

I feel like I've accomplished so much...and I want to thank every single person here for every bit of advice that you gave me, either directly or indirectly. Don't worry, I'm still soaking it all up!

This is just the beginning though...time to scale up and make all of my dreams come true. Again, many thanks...you guys RAWK!

How long did it take you to make? It would be great if you could show us what you've been working on too

    Congrats again!

LOL I didn't think about that until I hit submit thread...I was trying to fire off a quick post before I went to bed.

I'm a big car guy...my family's been in the automotive industry for three generations now. I was in it for nine years...and have pretty much done everything. People still come to me for advice!

My site is one where it started out as me sharing articles on FB about the infamous Toyota accelerator/floormat recall fiasco...it then blossomed into an actual website. I dumped it into tumblr because it was supposed to just be something fun to do on the side, while I was working on my other sites.

The thing that I started to realise is that if my heart isn't it, then it's not going to be successful...no matter how hard I try to make it work. It was a great learning experience in the respect that I now know what I'm doing (to an extent), and know more now than I did this time last year...thanks to everybody in WF!

Once I looked back and started thinking about what I'm really passionate about, I decided to pour all of my efforts into Toyota Deathwatch Updates. It took off like a rocket! I already had a fanbase on FB, and belonging to two major car forums (I'm a moderator on one), as well as having lots of car buddies...it was an easy decision to make. Now, not only is this site the most successful mainstream site that I've had, it's also the one that I enjoy doing the most.

Awesome news. Congratulations. What you explained in your post is great. Just remember, not only did you learn, you took action on what you learned. That is the most important thing.
