After reading many posts about Fiverr that just rubbished it.
To me, it seems that Fiverr must be good for some things or it would have faded. But what are those things?
I am thinking of using it to build up my Facebook page Like numbers? I just want a good number to show on my page. A lot of posters say that this works.
What else is it useful for? I'm particularly interested in:
1)Technical help
2)Seo
3)Syndicating my blog
Can anybody advise about Fiverr for these 3 areas

For SEO stay out of fiverr, it's more risky than beneficial.

There are areas like Voice Over, someone pretending to be your girlfriend for some days just to steer some emotions from your partner have been great.

I also recommend to not use fiverr for SEO.
If you are lucky and don't get one of the gigs that will damage your SEO, you probably got one of the SEO gigs that gets no results.
My personal opinion is that SEO on fiverr is just a waste of $5, with the chance of loosing even more money.

But you can use fiverr for SEO related tasks like article writing, account creation, video, etc.

Fiverr can be good for Facebook Likes or +1, but you will have too look for a good provider. I use those who offer less likes/+1s because for me it's a sign those come from real accounts.

I use fiverr for logo creation, video testimonials. and intro videos.

A lot of great value on there for $5 each.

Stay away from SEO stuff as previously mentioned.

    I love fiverr.

I use it a lot for graphical stuff (logos, ebook covers etc.)

Imo you can get some really good graphic work for next to nothing. I realize that some gig providers probably have templates that allow them to whip them up quickly, but I'm a very happy customer.

Its best to first see the ratings of gig provider on fiverr.com. There are tons of gigs offered in different categories, but most of providers don't take the service levels seriously due to the low nature of payment (they just get paid $4 out of $5).

So in short, ask questions before ordering and see the reputation of gig provider too.

    Hope it helps.

    1) Graphical- Logo, Banners, Buttons
    2) Videos - Testimonials, Promotional Videos, Animated Video, Video Editing work & much more.

I have never believed in purchasing link building stuff. After Google Panda & Google Penguin update really wont suggest you to do that.

It is really good for the silly quick tasks you don't want to do yourself. I like it because you can out source some flyer delivery for CPA stuff. Not to mention there are some people with Twitter accounts that are very good and produce some sales. There are so many ways to use this, but as stated SEO is always better left to the people that know how to do it, and their prices and feedback reflect it.

I too have gotten some amazing gigs for videos (promotional, animated, etc). I won't buy video testimonials, because obviously it's unethical, plus you'll be found out since others will recognize the speaker from Fiverr.

And audios as well as graphics and cartoons. Great talent on Fiverr!

I have also used some of the bookmarking services (the ones with just a dozen or so bookmarks done by hand). And the tweets for reinforcement.

I need to offer some gigs on fiverr so I can turn around and use my earnings for all the gigs I buy!

I've actually had some good experience with SEO on Fiverr, but I've only used it for social SEO (retweets, Facebook and Google Plus shares, etc.). As the member above mentioned, go for smaller numbers of shares since they are more likely to be real people. Not only are ten thousand shares in 5 days almost certain to be bots, but they look incredibly shady to Google.

Also, don't expect real traffic and attention from a Fiverr gig. Any traffic, likes, or shares are simply going to be to increase your stats. Even real likes are made by people who are likely paid to "like" everything sent to them.

Fiverr is an awesome place to get your things done for cheap but keep in mind.. Somethings which look very cheap can cost you bigger in future and for example SEO things..

They can generate fake reports and show you or they may use illegal or Unethical ways for your website and in return you get your website slapped !

Think before you buy any GIG!

Hi - With Fiverr you absolutely must do your due diligence before purchasing anything - Just like if you were buying something on Ebay or Amazon check the ratings and comments - that will give you a feel for the quality of the gig etc.

Personally I get great results in the following areas, Twitter, Facebook, graphics......

    Hope this helps

    Regards

Fiverr can still be used for graphics, voice overs, and even just making a fun video for your customers for a laugh or two. It's 'only' $5, but you should still check out all the comments and ratings for each vendor you consider, as some of them just do crappy work or incomplete work.

The honest truth is that SEO on fiverr can be AMAZING. Hand's down ridiculous because of the price.

Whether you pay someone to create 50 manual web 2.0 accounts on fiverr or on here for 50$ makes no difference to google. etc. etc. you get the idea.

BUT, the fact is that noobs see quick easy gigs (like the huge link wheels) and think it will benefit them. Obviously it wont.

Use fiverr as an outsourcing service. Not an SEO service.

I agree. If people are ignorant about basic SEO, then they should probably avoid it. If you know what you want and need, then Fiverr saves you thousands of dollars.

Many people dog Fiverr for SEO because they offer the same services cheaper than what they charge, or those people are ignorant about SEO in general and don't know what the hell they are doing.

Just like any SEO tool, fiverr can be your best friend or worse enemy. Just got to know what the hell you are doing before tackling it head first.

    • I personally know of a Fiverr Level 2 seller offering a backlink on a "high PR blog" where the site in question has been deindexed on Google. Link sellers no longer tell you in advance what the domain is.

You also have to watch out for people who fake PR instead of merely lying about it.
