I plan to start my email campaign soon. I wanted to know how many newsletters should I begin with?

How long should the newsletter run and how often should they be sent??

All replies will be greatly appreciated.

Do you already have a list or are you building it now?

The best advice I have is to create a series of "Autoresponders" in your email marketing account (Aweber or MailChimp are two popular ones).

Once someone opts in to your list, these Autoresponder emails go out on a schedule that you create. The general rule is to send 5-7 emails with NO pitches about every 4-7 days.

Make sure they contain value and are truly helpful to your readers. After that, you can start peppering in some links to paid products/services.

I have my site up and running. I have something free to offer. Now what I wanted to know was:

How many newsletters should I start with?

How long should my newsletter series run?

I have auto responder set up. I am writing my own newsletters for the sake of quality. I am confused about how many should I write to begin with and for how long?

Hmm. I read somewhere that the newsletter series should never run out. Is it so?

That means I would need to create hundreds of newsletters??

Also what I could understand from going through forums was that in the beginning I should send the newsletters everyday(at least for a week). And then I should move on to sending newsletters every 3 or 4 day.

Is it the right strategy to employ?
