Is the Dating Niche list building friendly?

Hi Friends,

I like to promote dating websites like match.com and eharmony.com using banners on my websites, but would like to know if you guys have some ideas on how to build a list to promote dating websites like the ones I mentioned above. Sometimes I think the dating niche is not a list building friendly niche, what do you think?

set up a squeeze page giving away a quality free dating related report or course

buy some ads on POF, advertising your squeeze page

or buy some solo ads by searching google ( http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ing-niche.html )

include a good low priced OTO and maybe an upsell ( http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...es-funnel.html )

then watch conversions and test, tweak and track

the dating niche is very lucrative

Well, with lucrativeness comes competition. I would have said the same thing as Paul said.

    Good luck with it.

Yes the dating niche is list friendly if you are giving the subscribers something they want. Give them a free guide on how to find their dream man or woman and keep giving them tips. Every once in a while make a recommendation on the best places to find their future mate. Build trust and offer value while recommending offers like a friend does.

Offer a free online dating ebook, and promote the site as usual.

Squeeze page, email newsletter, sprinkle affiliate links sparingly in your email messages to subscribers... and also in your free ebook.

    it's very lucrative

just off the top of my head you could send your list, dating tips, style tips for men - how to dress on a first date, style tips for women - how to seduce without looking like a slut or how to seduce without losing respect,

you could have do's and dont's on a first date, on a second date, etc.

You could add humour to your list by asking your subscribers to send in their most funny dates, or their worst date experiences, etc.

You could have love tips, sex tips, for men - how to pleasure her, for women - how to pleasure him, etc.

There are a ton of things that you could do.

go to your local book store and pick up a woman's magaizine and have a glance at it and look at all the diffrent articles and advice columns. Look to see what questions women are writing in to ask, write those all down, and then grab a men's magazine and do the same thing.

You should be able to get a ton of ideas on content and things that you could promote.

This are some awesome ideas. I think, from this angle, the amount of content I can send to the list is practically unlimited.
What I love the most about this niche is the fact that it deals with emotions, and because of this, it touches a very sensible side on people.

Can I hear a "David DeAngelo"?

I think so plus I think there is lots of opportunity to focus in on a sub-niche and target very specific groups of people. Older dating, Christian, uniformed dating rather than trying to single out everyone.

I bet there's tons of tips and information you can use to build a list and email regularly with recommendations of services and even affiliate products to help them increase their chances of success.

I'm not in the dating niche nowadays, is it lucrative? Does it rebill? I still get checks in the post each month as regular as clockwork for sites I built about ten years ago. I haven't owned those sites for over 6 years. So yes, build a list in this niche, it doesn't just convert it rebills like a champ too.

Like Big Al says above, pick a subniche. Yes, it's a competitive market but that is good. More competition means more money and once people are on your list you don't have to worry so much about the competition compared to building review sites or buying traffic.
