You are too late but it has more than "something" to offer IMHO.

That made me chuckle thanks, seriously where have you been?.

Fiverr can be a fantastic source, in order to make a substantial income online, I still make good monthly earnings by providing advice from time to time.

If you find the right type of niche to sell, you can really crack it.

      Good luck

      Cheers

I put twenty product packages together. listed them for three months.
    Made 1 sale.
scrubed it , let em go.
    ROI not worth the effort
On the consumer side, it's 80% Beaujolais /20 % useful.

It's like anything else in life. If you do it half ass, you will hate it (as a seller). If you do your research half ass (as a buyer) you will hate it.

If you spend time getting to know the good sellers, you will love it.

And of course if you are a REAL promoter and you know how to promote your gigs, you can make thousands of dollars a month (as I do)

Yeah I've used it a few times. Hit or miss really.

I will say this; send them a message of what you are wanting and see what they respond with. This is to ensure that you are BOTH on the same page so you know exactly what the seller is prepared to do, and conversely, the seller knows your expectations.

This is how I've gotten a bit more satisfaction from the service.

It is good for small jobs and bit of fun, I have spent about $ 300 there by now and I have manage to get some really good content and videos. I would not touch any of the link building stuff they offer unless you just want to experiment and can sacrifice your site.

I use it for small jobs here and there. I just had someone make me a banner ad for some Pinterest sites. Its well worth the $5 that would have taken me 30 minutes. Net-net way ahead on time etc. and while they created the ad I researched ad networks.

Bottom line - work smarter not harder.

It depends on what your looking for. Fiverr can be cool but you have to keep in mind that these people are only getting $4 for the work they do for you. What can you expect for $4? Not much. So basically your not going to find anything in Fiverr that will take someone more than perhaps 10 minutes to do unless you pay for the gig extras .. but then its not really $5 anymore

Most of the gigs are simply garbage, but there are some great gigs available. Comments and ratings will tell you which gigs are worthwhile to buy.

P.S. Just stay away from link building gigs!

Fiverr is definitely worth it. It's only $5 and there are many great gigs available on the site, but sometimes people might provide horrible jobs and you have no choice but to pay them anyway.

It's like taking a shot in the dark, I personally would just pick the gigs that have positive feedback with probably 1000+ positive reviews at least just to make sure it's not a scam. Do note that some people use comment bots that write good reviews on their own gigs, so there is a slight risk.

I would still bank on it though, it's just $5 and I usually don't go for the extras otherwise you have to pay more. And also, make sure that the user has provided other services for quite a while and has a decent reputation

If you have any questions, feel free to ask I'll be more than happy to answer your question

Generally people go with only offering services on Fiverr & they forget offering on only 1 platform will not get them enough traffic. so better going on multiple ways & offering multiple services will help you gain profit in long term basis.

There are lots of competing services like gigbucks, tenbucks, gighour etc will make your offering multiplied & you can gain huge revenue...

If not for your money site dirrectly, fiverr can be used as tier 2 link building service. I always check who is offerring the service. I believe that $4 for a guy from India worth more than $4 for someone from USA. So manual staff I usually order from services coming from such countries as India, Philippines, etc.

Fiverr is definitely great. I've purchased quite a few gigs and rarely am I disappointed. As is also recommended in earlier comments:

    1. Be precise with what you look for in a gig
    2. Sort by rating
    3. Check feedback comments on the first top 10-20 gigs

The decide and probably you can't go wrong. But then again - it's $5

I may have missed whether you said that you are a buyer, or a seller, but I am going to go ahead and assume you are a buyer.
I use Fiverr all the time and think it is fantastic. Sure you are going to get the odd duff gig, but if you check the ratings and feedback of each seller properly, you will have far more hits than misses. The ebook graphics and minisite designs are particularly useful, if you want to get some quick work done for affiliate promotions; and the bookmarking gigs are great for social presence and seo.
Stay away from guaranteed traffic gigs, if you want sales or responsive subscribers.
There are plenty of WSO guides to Fiverr, if you want to explore a little further.

Considering it is only $5.00, it doesn't sting too much if the results for a gig are less than stellar. I've ordered a few voice-over jobs for little youtube vids and some have actually turned out really well. I would emphasize looking for sellers who have websites that demo past work they have done, to widdle the list of offers down to the most professional quality. If you just blindly buy gigs on title alone, you are going to end up with people who do voice overs with their tiny lap top mics in awful cartoon voices... I know from experience. ;-)

      Maybe.

On the other hand, I know how you guys think. You're going to grab with both hands.

What I see happening is people duplicating their gigs (and maybe changing the wording slightly) to be able to hit as many subcategories as possible.

      Which defeats the whole purpose.

Sometimes I think Fiverr's development team doesn't think these things through.

I have used it to get 500 Twitter followers. I was promised 800 but I just wanted enough to be taken seriously.

I also had a couple people write articles and link to my site. I was even able to find people that had topics that I need and it pushed me to 1st position no the terms I was looking for. I did other things obviously so it's hard to know how much it helped.

I also have a blog that gets about 300 visits a month. idea*******.com. I have gotten two jobs out of that where I write an article and link to the customers site. Cool because they promote the article and you get some traffic out of it.

Agree with most of the others really, as a buyer it's great - as long as you take time researching the buyers and finding the right gig.

For example, Last week i bought a gig for a guy to design me 5 logo's for a new website i was working on. I used one of them, and sent it straight off to another guy who made me a 19second HD video intro with sound using me freshly created logo.
That's $10 for something that i don't have the time, skills or software to do.

I have also found a fairly decent (IMO) gig that manually submits to social bookmarking websites.

My general thoughts are stay well clear of anything that promises too much.
For example, submitting to 2k websites... you just know it's all going to be junk and worthless.

Whereas 'Manually submit to 20 websites' has a much better chance of being worthwhile.

There are some Great deals on fiverr, if you need a service done. We got a beautiful logo made for just $5. But we had a hard time communicating with some sellers. The fiverr system is flawed; It allows the seller of the "gig" to mark a job completed, whether the buyer feels its completed or not. The website makes you jump thru hoops to get any kind of customer service, it can be frustrating. Lesson here is if ordering a gig, be as specific with your needs as possible!

Though some actions of fiverr are not very good but yet it is very good for cheap services with good quality. A gig sell wouldn't like his gig's rating should go negative. That is why he or she will always try to be the best in their services.

    The good:
    - Have a fantastic article writer there whose work always passes Copyscape

    Be careful:
Be careful who you give your SEO to but it's ok for things like XRumer and Scrapebox but don't expect miracles.

    The bad:
    - The logos there aren't great and are more like copy and paste work from some stock image library (used them three times for logos) - but it's ok if you don't care about what it looks like. Also some of the logos aren't print ready for simple things like business cards. Basically you get what you pay for.

I only support those who have excellent feedback and a proven track record.

Even then their efforts are no guarantee that it will help you.

I like the good social bookmark services. Some video creation services. And in some cases, some info services that are 'how to' for example.

If you have specific needs and can find a really good service provider you can trust, then you are on a winner.

So think about what your needs are then do some searches there and send some messages and see what you come up with.

    Goodluck!

Fiver is great for a couple of things.

Small jobs that you need done quickly such or
Selling small jobs that you can do quickly!

For a fiverr (or $4 once the admin gets their cut) I ain't gonna do much! But I have heard that some sellers do fair as nice wedge of monthly income from Fiverr alone, but it does come down to how much time to I have for fiverr.

I put up 2 ads on fiverr, just two and was flooded with orders. Maybe I got luckly but I couldn't do them on top of everything else and dont trust outsourcers to do work of my standard. (I am a nit picky web designer!)

This is not a good option if your need cash right away. Consider mowing some grass. However, the site can produce you some awesome money. There is a lot of traffic now. Subcategories are the next big thing on this exciting new service.

Fiverr is a great place for people who want jobs done when quality is not an issue. Choosing by checking rating could be a guide but quality expectation should be played low.
