General Question For ALL Internet Marketers

Warriors,

It's pretty safe to say that most Internet Marketers use the Internet, and the Internet alone, to market their products, themselves, and their sites. This is a beautiful thing - for a variety of reasons. The Internet has become the cheaper, more efficient alternative to traditional marketing.

That being said, here's the question...

Have you ever thought about creating a radio or television spot for your product/service? Or toyed with the idea of giving your product a national voice via radio and TV?

If you have, I am curious as to why...

Likewise, if you have never thought about using radio and/or TV, I am curious to know why that is as well.

Thanks for your time and participation,

Aaron

I used to work for an advertising agency, came away with a love of direct mail and a hatred of TV and radio ... will take a while to get over

    Hey Aaron,

I have used radio and newspaper to advertise local sites, but never really thought of TV or trying to go national with any of it. Too high priced I would imagine.

I tailor to the thought that it is much to expensive for the average marketer, and the means that are available online can be just as compelling.

However, I've still thought about it and would definitely think about utilizing it...

If your product has a broad enough appeal and you can find some angel investors, then go for it. Take a look at the professor guy who gives away software (with a high priced s&h fee). I just saw a commercial where he is peddling "how to make money on ebay".

I can't say that I've thought of buying radio or TV time for my web store, but I have thought of starting up a B&M version of it to increase local sales.

@ Simon Sezs - Yeah I saw those commercials too.

Here's a question to everybody...What if the media was purchased on a PER LEAD basis. As in NO up front media costs? Would that change anything?

I haven't for one reason and one reason only...I'm cheap.

Actually, two reasons. I'm cheap and don't understand the medium enough to
want to tackle it. I understand Internet marketing. I don't understand
off line marketing as well. That's not to say I couldn't learn it and do it. It's
just not a priority for me right now.

          Maybe someday.
