Doing a webinar before launching my wso on Sunday. What do you think as a strategy ?

Have a product coming out. It launches at 5 but before that I am doing a webinar at 4:30 est. I don't see this happening very much in the wso space. Why is that ? We all know that normally webinars convert higher. I personally think it is a great way to communicate, answer questions in real time and so on.

Agree or disagree with the strategy we will see how well it converts. I think it will do well. Let me know your thoughts on number one why we don't see this that often and number two the strategy itself.

I currently use a pre recorded webinar for my optin, with an upsell on the backend. I think this works brilliantly because you build serious value and credibility in your webinar.

    Great idea.

I have heard a lot of back and forth on pre recorded webinars. Like they are not genuine. Are you driving traffic to it ? How are you doing that process ?

Hey dude; it seems to work just fine. I just do the normal formula:

        Optin
Confirmation Email with link to webinar
40 minute webinar + upsell at the end
        Sale!

        That's it

    James,

To me I think it is a good idea, although I really think you may be missing another piece to the puzzle. To me WSO's are getting a little out of hand. They were initially suppose to be an outlet to sell your EXISTING product at a lower price to the warriorforum members. Most people are just launching their product as a WSO instead of really having it launched initially and then offering warriors a special deal. So what I would do is actually first try to sell on webinar, then maybe do a product launch on clickbank / clicksure / jvzoo, THEN place on the warriorsforum as a WSO for a discounted price.

I see what you are saying but I think the reality right or wrong is that most wso's are initial launches.

There has to be a reason for people to watch a webinar, especially if its about an upcoming WSO. Some reason that they are convinced will be worth more to them than the time it takes to watch a webinar.

I am not sure what that reason would be, unless you have built up a pool of questions from a launch sequence that you can answer on a webinar.

I think that is a great point. For me the reason is they get to ask questions in real time. I think that is the value.

Most of this really depends on your purpose of running the WSO. Are you primarily out to build your list of subscribers? Or buyers? Or attract JV partners? And what does the rest of your sales funnel and product list look like? I mean, is this WSO an outlier? Or can the average buyer see a direct relation?

Otherwise, I'd schedule the webinar an hour before the launch rather than half an hour. In my live presentations, I 'seed' the Q&A segment with a list of substantial 'canned' questions you can anticipate being asked.

Personally I don't think the reason for the wso would matter as to whether or not you have a webinar. To me it provides more value. So that gives something to the customer and in turn provides higher conversions.

Possibly. I am expecting 30 - 50 % conversions. That is typical of a webinar. Not typical for a wso. Make sense ?

    James,

I did a webinar 30 minutes before launch on my last WSO and I have to say, that strategy worked brilliantly. Went on to sell over 800 copies and was able to get into a little more detail about the product outside of the sales page.

You also need to keep in mind that if you are holding a webinar and answering questions beforehand, it's likely you won't get as much posting in your actual WSO thread when it goes live. Interaction in your WSO thread is very important to the success of a WSO.

I feel webinars are overrated nowadays. I don't want to sit through something for half an hour that can easily be explained to me in a short sales page. That's just me though. I have a feeling the typical WSO buyer might be the same though. They are interested in fast and simple. With so many offers being thrown at them each day, you want to make your offer as easy as possible for them to consume.

Never heard of this idea before... very creative.

There are 2 ways this could go, one good and one bad.

It might work out because you generate a heap of sales initially. This would increase the EPC of your product and make it look attractive to affiliates (if you are using warrior plus).

It might not work out for the reason mentioned above (and in the quote below).

See I disagree. I feel like having the webinar will get people saying things like "I'm pumped" rather than " Is this a pdf or video course ?

I can read, analyze, interpret, and absorb written content at least three times as fast as listening to a video or webinar. So I stay away from video and audio sessions when I can. But that's just me.

With that in mind, I'd say do the webinar. This is because it is just another way to reach people. Everybody absorbs information in different ways. Some learn better and more quickly through audio, some visual, some through reading comprehension, and some through actual experience such as coaching sessions. If you can develop your product across all those verticals, you are essentially capturing a wider audience of buyers.

      This.

No matter how you look at it, you're definitely going to reach more people by doing a webinar. If you can hit it from multiple angles, you'll get more interest from people who respond to different tactics.

Plus, definitely record the webinar. You can reuse it later, or take some of the best parts and use it in other marketing materials.
