I need more TRAFFIC asap!

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this internet marketing world, however I still have some knowledge on making money online. I just recently created a website that focus on street fight videos, or anything out of ordinary. I would like to know the best way I can drive traffic to this site without having to pay for advertising. I don't have enough money to buy ads.

I would appreciate any little tips on making this website a successful one

My website is: ruDumb Dot Com (I can't post the link)

Thanks!

The niche is odd, I would recommend getting a press release done. You will probably get good traction with this kind of site.

Do you know how to get a PR done?

What is your plan to monetize this?

You need a plan to monetize dude, since your not selling "useful" information, but you could possibly get advertising, but companies may be 'iffy' about advertising on a site showing violence, you no what I mean?

First brainstorm how you can monetize and sell on that site. What market are you attracting? What would they want?? When you figure that out, apply it, then get a press release written.

            Joey

Ps. PR isn't hard or expensive to outsource.

I planned on monetizing the site by placing CPA offers and google adsense, but I think I will be removing the adsense and make it 100% CPA offers only.

The niche is really odd. Who will be your targeted visitors though?

I'm not sure. The website was mainly created for laughter.

I would suggest you take a look at a website called Mixergy.com. There is a wealth of information there for people new to online marketing and seeking to learn from established pros. A bulk of the site is subscription based ($25 per month and well worth it in my opinion) but the most recent posted content is free to view.

    I really like your niche...

    different trumps better.

FB do ad's that don't cost very much if you limit them, good way to test out too.

Press release is another consideration too. In times of trouble you have to get resourceful to make stuff happen for you. Get your thinking cap on..

      Wow! thanks for liking it.

I will definitely try the press release. And I'd probably need a little bit more research on advertising with FB.

I have some suggestions for you. Who likes watching street fights? Fighters or fight fans.

Go to MMA, boxing, muay thai, BJJ, grappling, wrestling, etc... forums and post your videos. People on these forums love watching fight videos and the views get big, I've seen street fight videos posted on MMA news, fighter profiles and events get thousands of views just from someone posting it once. The more brutal or controversial the video is the more views it gets.

I don't know how well CPA offers will convert since most people embed the videos on the actual sites. Some do visit the sites though because a lot of them have a limitation where you can't expand the embedded videos.

Also friend fighters and people like that on Facebook and other social networking sites and post fight videos.

This is close to what I was going to say.

Check out martial arts, mma, fighting/self defense, boxing forums.

Any websites that deal with those kind of subjects are potential sites where you could get traffic from.

As for CPA offers, I don't think it would be smart to just go with a general CPA offer, what I would do is to look to see if there are any martial arts related CPA offers and choose those.

But what you can also do is, to go to your local book store (or online) and look for any martial arts magazines and see what ads are in those magazines, mark down the websites and go to those sites and see if they have affiliate programs.

You could be promote martial arts equipment, self defense videos, pay-per-view fights, there are all sorts of things that you could promote. Even exercise stuff would pair up good with your site.

    I think it's a totally kickass site.

I've been a sherdog member since 2003 (biggest mma forum on the Internet) and can tell you from experience this would be hugely popular there. (if you play the right angle)

You could do some ninja tactics there saying things like 'hah watch this video of someone getting owned by so and so'

or 'this girl would own half of you newbs'

They are rough around the edges on most mma forums but could be hugely stickied.

    Give it a whirl

PS: Don't blatantly spam, and don't let them know it's your website. Pretend you saw the video and hype it up. They love streetfights

You could even add controversial titles like "This dude would probably own anderson silva" etc

Another PS: sherdog and mixedmartialarts.com would be a huge traffic maker with this.

But I would advise posting for a few weeks and getting post ranked up before promoting the site (and again, do it under the radar and NINJA like for best longterm results)

    what works for us

    - go and see where competitors are getting their traffic from.
    - Go to where your most likely customer is hanging out and put your message there
    - ppc, ppv good if you know what you are doing
    - articles - yes they still work
    - youtube vids are great if SEO'ed propery and good content
    - blogs
    - press releases - we do 1 a week now and the results are incredible.

that should keep you busy till xmas....so go nuts. Good luck.

Hey, I think the niches is weird but someone will definitely have to see that. So, I though about using adf.ly, You don't need a targeted traffic for that kind of niches. People will be willing to visit your site to watch a silly brawl in the street. They need a daily dose of humor. I suggest you should just advertise it in adf.ly

I think you should promote it through youtube. Believe me there are thousands if not millions of young people who will watch such videos and are constantly looking for them. Add a link to your website in the description and use CPA there and it should work great. Even kids can do cpa offers.

    Good luck.

Know who your target market first. Create articles or do blogging, it will be a good help but gaining traffic asap is really hard especially for newbies.

If you wrote street fight on YouTube you can see that a lot of videos got hundred of thousand views, and I'm talking about recent video uploaded in the week.

I think here is the best way for you to get traffic!
Are you selling street fighting video?

So, why not giving some part away on YouTube.
