Static page in Wordpress

Why do you have a theme that comes with a Home Page that you can't change. I wanted to make my static page static the home page and the posts page a page called "blog." And when I go to do it the only choice I have for both is the Blog Page that I created. So I can't make home my static? Confused?:confused:

    You have to create more than 1 static WP-Page If you want more than 1 Page to pick from in the WP-Admin settings.

    In wordpress you can setup a different address for the blog main page. This can be found in the "settings" section of wordpress administration. Now, you can use index.html for anything you want. So, you can create a traditional static page as the main index, and use a link direct readers to the main blog page.

    You need to enter to your admin dashboard to edit all that.

    Create a new page, example: Home

    Then go to the settings section and in the 'Readings' area I guess you will see an option to set your blog page and static home page. Just select your blog page to Blog and your home page to Home.
