    Hey Tim,

It depends on what your offer is, i.e. squeeze page, physical product etc. If it's a squeeze page, solo ads work really well.

If it's for paid products or services, banner ads. Contact the website owners directly and work out a deal. Banners on hyperactive forums work even better.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Michelle

I have recently put up a website about this same subject. Feel free to check it out. Now I do agree with Michelle it really does depend on where you are sending the traffic. Capture page, Website etc.

For example my site has been up for 8 days and has over 200 organic hits. and I have 30 opt ins from just that. As I get more content it will grow larger and larger.

Social media marketing and E-mail marketing both are good strategies to drive traffic to your site.

Set up a squeeze page and sales funnel, then send paid solos at that page. You will need an autoresponder to set it all up. Aweber, GR are two well known ones. Rinse and repeat

If you are looking to drive traffic to convert into leads (squeeze page) then solo ads are the way to go. The good ones aren't cheap. Do your homework finding a provider a with good reviews and make sure you offer is of high quality.

Social media is by far my favorite however. I enjoy the process and get leads for far less cost in most cases. It takes more time but since I enjoy it, it doesn't bother me yet. I'm sure at some point I will outsource this portion of my business as well when I get sick of it.

This is not a question that can easily be answered. Getting traffic depends on what you are selling, and to whom. Some methods are not the right ones for a particular niche.

You have one billion options to send traffic to your links.

You need a marketing plan. This is the first thing you must understand if you want to work the right way and build a solid business.

If you’ll try this and that without a plan, you’ll merely waste your time and spend your precious money without having the positive results you were hoping to have.

‘Hoping’ is not a word that should be part of your vocabulary.

Don’t do anything ‘hoping’ to get traffic because nothing will work by chance.

Even if you’ll use all the options available to you to get traffic, without creating a perfect business plan, you won’t sell your products. Besides getting traffic, you also have to convert your visitors into customers. Getting traffic is only a part of the selling process.

There is a fierce competition online. All the countries of the world are competing for the first pages. This competition is really discouraging.

You have to be an expert on internet marketing if you want to understand how this system works and make money online. Don’t work without studying.

With all the google updates a lot of people are moving to paid traffic - you can have full control over your campaigns instead of relying on google to rank your site which can take months.

Read up on paid traffic sources and what would work well for you - ppc, banner ads, pop unders etc

I don't pay for traffic at all.

    5 good articles.
    1 good press release.
An FB page - look for other pages in your niche and 'like' them.
A Twitter account. Choose some good hashtags.

I have chosen to concentrate on little niches within a niche.
I also choose to connect with small FB pages in my niche. Small ones are where you are and so will appreciate your connection. The big guys won't give a hoot about you.

    Think small. Grow big.

I prefer not to depend on any free web services; I got around 10 google groups with more than 500k emails and adding around 2k daily. I do promotion myself and earning just enough to continue this project.

If any one around here is interested, PM me!

I use 7Search, Infolinks, Bid4Keywords, POF, and adf.ly for traffic.

7Search is where I'm making my money right now. The others I'm just testing.

I promote CPA offers with 7Search by direct linking, and list building. So far direct linking is way more profitable, but requires losing money for a bit while you optimize campaigns.

If you don't mind losing $30 a week for 2 or 3 weeks, that buys you enough data to tune your campaigns and make them profitable.

I cover how to do this in my newsletter (see my signature).

Once you have a few profitable campaigns, you can set your 7Search account to automatically fund itself from your PayPal account, and just let your campaigns go on churning out a profit week after week.
