Does this work, does that work...
"Does X work?"
"Does Y still work?"
"How effective is Z?"
Let me tell you something....everyone will have different opinions. This means, by simply asking questions like this....
1. You'll be no better off
2. You'll probably end up being more confused
3. You'll be given inaccurate or misleading information
4. You'll base your opinions on the assumptions of others.
I posted this just a moment ago in another thread...
Facts are better than opinions.
No one cares what works for you. No one gives a rats about your data - it's completely up to you to test, track and measure. If you're not doing this, then your actions will be the result of mere assumptions. Guessing in this business is the fastest way to failure.
How can I test and measure?
I test and measure EVERYTHING. I dont place a link somewhere without implementing tracking code (have a look at my signature links as an example)
By tracking stuff you know exactly WHAT WORKS, so you can do MORE OF IT.
Without writing a 5,000 word post, there are only 2 tools you need to accurately track, test and measure the effectiveness of which ever type of medium you decide to implement.
They are ...
1. Google's URL builder
2. Google Analytics
Get to work.
