Besides IM, what niches do you target for list building?

IM is really the evergreen niche. Lots of products that are related to it released every day. It's apparently the best choice for email marketing. So besides it, what niche(s) do you target for list building and how do you monetize from them?

      Stick with the 4 big ones and you usually can't go wrong (though dig in deeper to avoid direct competition with the big players): finance/money, health, relationships, hobbies.

    Anything that has an actual problem, or need associated with it. For example, health > weight > weight loss > weight loss for women after pregnancy

    Basically all. Anyway do you know that if you target people outside IM niche they do actually believe that a real person is putting an effort to talk to them through the emails. Not only that when you recommend a product through your affiliate link they assume you are promoting a good product to them for free. The chances of them buying will be better.

    I have several other niches not in IM, and I chose them because of my interests.

    Pick ones that you know things about and actually buy the products before you try to promote them. Lots of people can make a clickbank product look brilliant in the marketplace when the customers think it sucks.

    I would also say that listbuilding for profit tends to work well for a few months before you get annoyed having to deal with people who you have nothing in common with.

    Focus in on smaller lists where you can build relationships and sell your self as a consultant in the niche area. Far more profitable and enjoyable than churn & burn product launch model.

    I target both IM and non-IM (self-help, watches and pens). Different niche different monetization strategies.

    But I heard that Forex niche is much more competitive. Perhaps you might wanna try out that niche.

    Warriors,
    The above niches are lucrative but there are not enough products that are released regularly as the IM niche. So how often do you promote via email marketing?

    there are several niches that you can target , but the trick to make it is to target the sub-niches as they are highly targeted and you have the factor of low competition .
    the monetization methods varries from creating products and sell them or sell solo ads to marketers or make JV with others .... possibilities are endless

    I'm on my second big diet site. There's no end in the health industry.

    Also, golf. Golf how to products. Golfers are hungry for the next big thing on how to cut down on hooks,slices and drive a golf ball 320 yards with laser pin point accuracy.

    IM is one of the worst markets to market to for a number of reasons

    ---> High refunds

    ---> Many of the people you market to know what you are doing and know your worthless free plr eBook isn't worth $497 and you are only getting people on a list.

    ---> Everything you do they've seen before.

    ---> If you haven't really made money yet you are crushing your reputation before you even build it.

    ---> And many more...

    Just think how much more effective all these marketing "tricks" would be to a pregnant 34 yr old woman that is working 45 hours a week, she's to busy for her own life and extremely stressed.

    Then, to top it off, her internet skills equate to looking at cat pictures, hitting forward and reply on her emails and checking Facebook and then searches for an "all natural way to get rid of stretch marks".

    Now I'm not saying this woman is not intelligent by any means but she certainly isn't aware of what internet marketers are up to.

    And anyone that says getting involved in "all" niches is a good idea is almost certainly on the wrong track.

    Because if you chase too many rabbits they all get away. Find one and focus.

    There are so many niches other than IM you can target, in fact, these niches are more easy to market than IM.
