Focus on Main Project for 4 days. Then Experimental / Hobby Project for 1-2 days per week. Feedback?

As an entrepreneur it is difficult to focus on one thing. It takes mountains of discipline and persistence to just do one thing and excel in it. Follow one plan.

“A great company is more likely to die of indigestion from too much opportunity than starvation from too little.” - Packard’s Law
So today morning I decided to choose which project has a good balance of work satisfaction, immediate income and a long term growth opportunity.

And my plan is to focus on that project for 4 days a week. Monday to Thursday. Then my experimental and hobby projects can be executed on Friday and may be on saturday (if interesting enough to work on so that it doesn't feel like work!).

What do you think about this plan?

Personally, I think it can be a good idea, especially if you are not yet convinced that your major project is going to deliver in the way you want. It is never a good idea to keep doing the same things and expect different results. So your approach can allow you to continue to enjoy the fruits of project #1 whilst experimenting with other niches/opportunities to see what works for you.

Of course, when you know you have the right main project, I would advise you to drop everything else and concentrate on that one thing.

You may know my philosophy: FOCUS

    C - Course
    U - Until
    S - Successful

      It makes sense to me.

When studying, I liked to switch between subjects to let my mind digest but continuing working on something else. I think this could be a similar situation.
