PayPal Fees for Payments Less Than $11

I learned PayPal has a different transaction fee rate for those who typically accept smaller amounts. It's called Micropayments. While with regular payment plan they charge 2.9% +$0.30, with Micro it's 5% + $0.05.
So, at a price $2.99 (a typical eBook), with regular payment they charge $0.39, with Micro $0.20 On 100 copies you save $19!
The drawback is, once you upgrade your account you pay much more when accepting larger amounts. Anything greater than $11, and Regular plan is better.

    PayPal allows you to have both types of accounts, macro & micro. It's "tricky" to get them both verified if you don't have multiple checking accounts/credit cards though.
