Is this bad practice for a squeeze page?

I'm thinking about having a squeeze page with a privacy policy and an about page that slides into the page when you click the link instead of linking out to a new page. Do you think this is a good or bad idea? And have any of you guys ever experimented with something like this?

Well I guess if you aren't concerned with ranking then I don't see why not.
It would be a great way of keeping them exposed to your lander.

Yeah I'm not really concerned with SEO here, I'd rather make everything seamless so the full attention is on the optin-box.

Yeah if you don't care about SEO, then go right ahead, and split test it.

Cool concept. I usually try to discourage people from reading privacy policy by keeping it out of the way though because they literally sell their souls on all my landing pages... its always present though and I do follow the 'standard' to how its displayed and such.
