WSO "new thread" issue

I know that Allen gets so many PMs that he can't answer them all, so I thought I'd ask this here.

I just paid for a new thread on the WSO forum. When I went to start my new thread that I just paid for, it's making me pay again?

I can't start the new thread I just paid for and if I do finally get a new thread, it will probably not be at the top of page one.

maybe delete it.. and create a new thread, and pay for the new one again.. so your sure to be at the top.

Pm Allen, the details, Im sure he'd be happy to refund you the $20 for the one with the error..

might take him a bit of time. but you'll get it eventually etc.

I remember reading somewhere (may be the WSO stickies, can't remember) that you need to have your WSO sales page ready to go (can use the test forum section to do it) before you start the thread and make payment.

That may have changed but if so I'm not aware of it.

I think only Admin may be able to fix this for you. Allen can fix anything

I did have my thread ready to go, but because of the glitch last week, there's probably just a small issue today. Now, it's an "endless payment circle" where we can't get out of the 'pay for a new thread' purgatory in order to post our new thread.

I'm sure it will be sorted out. For now, I simply edited the WSO I wanted to reduce the price for, and put it in my sig file. I was going to start a whole new thread, but maybe Allen will simply give me the credit for the payment to bump the edited thread to the top. That would work.

Angela, sometimes there is a delay...a long one.

Wait a while and then go back to the WSO forum and try to start a new
thread. It should allow you to do so without having to pay again.

If not after an hour or so, PM Allen or Bryan. Forward your receipt and
they'll take care of it.

Thank you, Steven. I certainly will try it again. I know it's just a glitch; possibly similar to the one last week where people were able to post without paying...

I have the utmost respect for Allen, but I'm not sure I'd want his job.

I think this is more of an issue with the Paypal IPN being sluggish to respond than anything under Alan's control. Allen said he hadn't actually gone to Cuba! Did he end up going?

Nah...I don't think Allen really went to Cuba. I was just kidding. :p

Allen took care of this problem promptly; he's truly Top-Notch. It turns out that you're right; it IS a sluggish Paypal problem.

PayPal's IPN posts were delayed this morning, it affected delivery of my WSO to some buyers as well.

  I dont know whats up with the WSO forum but my WSO's get removed from the list.
  This is the second time this happens to me.
  
  I paid for a bump yesterday and it got bumped, today I check to see my current position and its not even on the first page.
  But the WSO I was above still is on the first page...something strange is going on here.
  
  I know it was live yesterday.
  
  I pmd the admin but they never seem to get back at me.
  
  So frustrating!
