Great question, here are a couple of must haves to help get you started:

Google XML Sitemaps - generates sitemaps for Google
SEO Ultimate - easy to use for adding meta/desc etc.
W3 Total Cache - speeds up your site performance
There are many others but those are great to get you going... hope that helps!

I agree that Google XML sitemaps and w3 total cache are pretty much a must have, but you also have to be careful adding too many plugins as it can severely slow down your website!

Thanks alot, they are great, the more the merrier, I really want a nice long collection of cool plugins on my site, and I have tried one or two mobile convertor sites but none seem to work?! What am I doing wrong?
