Blogging Every Day vs. Newsletter Frequency

On other threads I was advised that in order to try to improve my newsletter open rate of 30%, that I should send a newsletter out 1x/week instead of 1x/month.

Currently I write to very relevant, high-quality blog posts 2x per month, and then at the end of the month, send a newsletter out to my list that highlights these articles.

I was also advised to write blog post every day instead of 2x/month.

I don't want to flood my users with content (they are dentists and I'm in the dental web development/seo field).

But how do I merge the one blog post per day idea, with a newsletter 1x/week? I don't want to send out a newsltter with 7 articles per week -- it's overkill.

Should I just blog each day, and then once per week send out the best 2 articles to the list?

Thanks for any advice!

Make 2-3 blog posts per week and send a newsletter every blog post you make! Try to look personal, not business style. People always prefer to work with people they know instead of randoms :p
I do really try to be personal, and my list is very specific to people in my niche who are double-opt in.

Should the videos be from me talking "Hi. Today I'm going to talk about responsive web design and you can read the transcript below" (and is watching me talk) or me as the narrator "Lets look at responsive we design and why you need it".

And how long should they be -- 1 to 2 minutes?

    Thanks!
