Reason as to why you are not making cash online?

I read a lot of posts on people saying Internet Marketing is hard, or its a scam. What people fail to realize is that they are not specific in the questions they ask on this forum. IM is not easy but at the same time the hard aspect about it has to be narrowed down to specifics. When you say IM is hard, you have to follow your statement with what particular part or step you are not understanding or is difficult for you, then the answers that you get from this forum will only deal with your current question. Once you start narrowing down your questions you start making progression. Take this example when you get sick you dont go to your doctor and tell him only that, if that was the case they cant treat you, when and only when you tell them the specific area of your body that is not functioning right will they help you.

      How many people treat working online the same way they would a normal, everyday go to work job?

      I think if people attacked the prospect of making a work at home job a real possibility, more would succeed. You have to be hungry, you have to really want it, you have to sacrifice.

        This is really good advice.

        And it is true alot of people come on here with vague problems, or ask questions like, "how can I make $100 - $1,000 month within X amount of days" and they don't include any more information than that.

        So how can we answer a vague question without knowing the persons skills, knowledge, interests and/or experience.

        it's the same with what you are talking about, the more specific your question the better the answers you will get.

        I also think this is great advice because if people start asking more specific questions and get specific answers the less they will spend on WSO and other products and less time spent jumping from one thing to another.

        Not necessarily.

        There is a lot of advice from many different members of this forum that you have to look at this as a business, and truthfully you don't.

        Does it help to look at this as a business?

        Yes of course it does.

        But do you have to?

        No

        There are tons and tons of people who treat IM like a job and are still successful.

        If someone if focused and a hard worker but looks at IM as a job, they can outearn a person who is not focused and easily distracted but looks at IM as a business.

        So, I think success is determined more by your productivity habits than whether or not if you look at IM as a job or business.

            That's because they fall for all the snake oil and get rich quick without doing any work BS. Everyone is looking for the one click software and the Staples Easy Button. It doesn't exist and anyone who tells you anything different, run don't walk away as fast as possible and keep your money in your pocket.

              You are right there is no one click software button and if there is, dont you think someone would have found it by now?, and if they found it do you actually think they are willing to tell you?

    I see a lot of people start out looking for the magical, step-by-step journey to making their fortune online. Truth be told, there is a lot of money to be made out of people with this mindset. I was one of them, for a long time, throwing good money after bad.

    When you're in this mindset, it becomes really hard to break out of. Its requires a brain re-wire, re-education, inspiration, motivation, time, and the right support. I don't want to get too preachy here as this being by first post on Warrior Forum (yay!) I am by no means a pioneer. But, its not an easy path to make cash and a lot of the time you need to fall, multiple times, and knock some sense into your head before you find the right track to follow.

    Here's my advice, this is based on my real life past success. You need a newsletter. The newsletter will actually be a sales letter. Send out newsletters like every other day to the prospect. Do that for about a few weeks, the gradually taper it down so they only eventually get an email every week or so. Add like at least 10 ways system on your site as lead capture devices. Such as:

    Newsletter
    tellafriend
    contests
    submit something for review
    download a free report
    site suggestions
    live support
    free gift
    contact form
    pop up on entry
    free membership to something

    etc etc etc. Build up that list and then continue to push your main product on them via the newsletter. As they get more familiar with you and comfortable with you then might eventually buy which is typical.

    1st. There isn't a lot of time. Right? Many of us have full time jobs, plus other obligations, and try and do IM on the side.

    2nd. With the little time we have, we try and do everything and thus find ourselves getting nowhere. And while this maybe OK at first to figure which area of IM you like or seem to do well at, if you don't eventually commit to one thing well, you probably aren't going to go anywhere.

    3rd. Once we figure out what to concentrate on we still do not manage our time well.

    4th. There is no goal setup. You should definitely have one at this point. Short term, midterm and long term specific goals.

    5th. We don't track our costs or our results. How can you know if you are REALLY getting ahead?

    6th. Many of us have unrealistic ideas of how much we can make.

    8th. We quit.

    I'm sure I could find more reasons. But the above applies with a lot of things in life. Not just with IM, but with other businesses and investing.

    IM is not about making money. It's just like another field which needs to be mastered at first and then used as a qualification/tool to provide valuable services/products and make money.

    If someone takes IM as an overnight money generating platform, then it might leave you in money loss let the profits apart.

      I can say for myself, It's been largely a matter of "trying" too many different methods and not sticking to one long enough to see success.

      There are so many ways to make money online, and it's easy to get distracted by one thing while working on another.

      I guess it comes down to discipline and focus, areas I need to work on.

      But I am motivated, hungry, and familiar with many aspects of IM, as I've been researching and implementing for a little over 4 years now.

      I agree, too many people here ask very general questions and expect a "magical" solution to be presented to them in response.

      I would tend to believe that a lot of them don't want to hear most of the answers to their questions and are not ready to accept the reality that IM is not a push-button, get rich easy kind of pursuit.
