Is Digg still relevant as a traffic source

I never really received a lot of traffic for Digg and StumbleUpon. I sometimes would get a quick 2 or 3 from StumbleUpon after submission, but that's it. I dont know if I ever received any traffic from Digg; however, in it's new form is it even still worth the backlink to post/submit to Digg?

Right now I post to:
Twitter
Facebook
Redditt - most traffic comes from here

    I don't find Digg as good as it once was. You can't beat YouTube and Facebook for solid traffic streams if you've got the product.

    Agreed, may be it is not up with the likes of FB or LinkedIn. But you might want to just consider getting some backlinks at least and it would be used for that purpose alone, if not for the traffic.

    Digg is old news (even the new Digg) same goes for StumbleUpon for getting good traffic.

    Doesn't hurt to try, but way better solutions out there... FB, Twitter, even Pinterest.

    Most traffic I have ever got was from offline marketing called
    1) "Word of mouth "
    2) "Flyers", "Posters", "Freebies, with url"
    Online Best:
    1) Relevant Forum posting
    2) Forum Advertisement
    3) Chat site link posting
    4) Social Network posting
    5) Social Bookmark Posting
    6) Maintaining relationship with fans on facebook, twitter and pinterest

    and ..................

    That is how, I can move my traffic around.

        I agree with you on that.

        I have had good viral traffic from SU..

        As far as DIGG is concerned, social bookmarking sites were once the "big thing", but thanks to social media sites....like Pinterest....people do not need to look beyond them.

    yeah, forget about Digg. You can still get a lot of traffic with, Stumble Upon . While it might not be targeted its still traffic. Its not buying traffic for sure, best thing to do would be collected emails and nuture the traffic.

      Digg is not what it once was. StumbleUpon is really good for getting traffic as I see a burst of traffic almost instantly.

    YouTube doesn't require much SEO and I think it is the best way to monetize! If Digg/StumbleUpon can have such great SE Rankings, they are a good deal too!
