INTERNET MARKETING

Hey everyone I just signed up with this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I am the owner of a supplement store in Michigan, we are here to learn more about internet marketing to help get our website going a little better. We are making some income but I know we still need some work.

Im not sure if anyone knows how I can tell this but I was told my domain contains a banned word from google. The word in my domain is "freaks" is this possible?

When you say “banned from Google” what do you mean? Banned from Adwords? I cannot personally find any documents online that refer to the word freaks being banned from Adwords. A simple search on Google will show you that there are a variety of nasty words that the engine will serve up results for. The word freaks is pretty tame compared to most of the words I experimented with.

Adwords may ban it however that service typically focuses more on copyrighted terms, gambling, tobacco and illegal drugs among other banned products/services. Are you experiencing problems with ranking your website in organic search because of the word freaks?

  He was saying that freaks is banned in general with google not ad words and that it would hurt my rankings. Ive looked everywhere and dont find anything saying that Freaks is a bad word or blacklisted by google.

Word freaks can be a problem on Google Adwords, you should check it out in their laws, but you can do site optimization by seo marketing!

If you type the word freaks in Google, there are no sponsored ads at all, so there may be some truth in freaks being a no no word for Adwords.

In addition, before using Adwords, make sure you look into rules on advertising supplements.

If you are not using adwards then the word freaks can not be a problem to make your site SEO optimized.
