If you have cpanel on your old domain and new domain you can easily transfer all files to your new domain. The only thing you'll need to separately transfer is any database info.

Also you can ask your hosting company to do the transfer for you.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I have a product called Backup Creator.

It's a WP plugin. You simply copy your files on the old site then transfer them to the new domain with a couple of clicks. It copies everything, database, formatting, etc. It basically clones your site to the new location.

So far, it has worked well for me. I usually use it to simply backup my site which I do every month.

as others have pointed out, this is a common activity, and so you will find a lot of resources about this if you do a web search, but here are some things to keep in mind.

Your WP site is a combination of your files and your database. So broadly speaking, you need to

    1) move your files from one hosting account to another. this is fairly easy. You can zip them up and move, unpack them in the newlocation.

    2) move your database. This is straightforward, but can be tricky if it's the first time. At the source, you can easily export your database. At the destination, you will need to create a new database, a new user, a new password for that user, and then give the user privileges to on that database. You can create it manually, or it can be created for you by your host's installation script. There are a few things that have to happen for this to work. For example, if you are changing a domain name, you have to make sure that all the references to the old domain in the database are now changed to refer to the new domain.

    3) lastly, in the file wp-config there is a reference to your database details. This must also be updated to refer to the new details.

I think that about covers it. Those aren't step by step instructions, but if you keep in mind the high level of what you are doing, then any instructions you find out there will hopefully make more sense.
