Increasing Article Ranking?

INTERNET MARKETING

I have submitted my article to quite a few sites, and the highest ranking one is about 13th-14th(3rd of 4th on the second page)

What can I do to increase the ranking of my article? From my other post, SB doesn't seem to be the way to go.

Any ideas :confused:

Have you backlinked to your content at all?

From other directories?

From squidoo?

From Weebly?

From Wet Paint?

Any other property in the web 2.0 realm that can shoot you a back link is worth utilising... also submission of your author RSS pheed too (to feedage.com and others)

You need to create backlinks to your articles. Social bookmarking is the easiest way, but you could also do like Jay suggested and build a few links from Squidoo and other Web properties. The more you have, the better your chances of rising in the SERPS.

I personally like to submit my RSS feed to RSS sites...only a handful. With proper keyword selection and SEO, that is really all it takes to get onto the first page of the search results... for me, that is.

The best way to increase the ranking for your article is to create the backlinks. Social bookmark in as many dofollow sites as possible. Use the article link in other articles and submit to article directories. Use the article link in forums related to it.
