Suggestions for monetizing a social network of bloggers
So I'm pretty new here, but love the community and wanted to ask for some of your advice and opinions.
My wife and I run this as sort of a hobby project. We have a network of about 400 "mom" bloggers, mainly as a Facebook group where we all come together to help each other's blogs (comment swaps, fb likes, sharing giveaways, that sort of thing). I think it has some potential to grow into a business, and I wanted to get some opinions on monetizing it from fellow Warriors.
In the past we have done some sponsored posts & tweets through the network, which have been mildly successful. Basically a sponsor will pay to have a bunch of our bloggers write a post about their product or site, and we take a small piece of the revenue. I personally think there should be a larger market for things like sponsored posts, but it hasn't really caught on.
I wanted to get some advice from all the Warriors out there, if you had a network of bloggers like this, how would you monetize? Any experience with sponsored posts?
We thought about setting up an Affiliate program, offering a revenue share for bringing in sponsored post opportunities for our members, anyone experienced with doing something like this?
Thanks Warriors, and don't hold back, I would appreciate some honest feedback!
