Clickbank Affiliate Redirect

Hi,

Looking for some advice.

I am a Clickbank vendor and I am making a "2.0" version of my old product. However this will be on a new site / product / clickbank account.

My old product still gets pretty mad affiliate traffic, and I want to funnel it to the new "2.0" version. Ideally what I would like to do, is take the affiliate cookie from the old product traffic, and redirect it to the new site/product and make sure that the affiliate still gets the sales.

Is this possible? If so, how?

Thanks,

Gaz

Question: how important is it that you need a new ClickBank account ?

Fairly important. With all the changes regarding refunds and chargebacks, I want an account with a clean slate as my chargeback rate is higher than I would like.

Note that these fees don't start till at least March. They are measured over a 60 and 70 day period (for refunds and chargebacks respectively) so if you have had no charges this month or end December your past history might not be a problem.

Ok. I'll let a technical person provide the details but I would think the steps are

            1. Replace the current Hoplink Target Url page with a php page which retrieves the affiliate cookie and creates a hoplink to the new account.

            2. Then remove the old product from the Marketplace.

This sounds exactly like what I want. If someone can expand on this it would be appreciated!

    Hi Gaz,

You could start a new Clickbank account, new website etc...

and then with the old product/sales page could you not just put a copy of the index for the new product?

So affiliates promoting the old product would still get commission it would just be the new sales page.

Once that is said and then, you should go ahead and remove the old product from the Marketplace.
Now who would have thought of that ?
