Parenting...what's a good Niche?

Anyone have experience inside the parenting niche?

Is there a subject that is RED HOT that parents search for?

What is a great way to find out which products parents crave?

Here is a few I found using a keyword tool:
    raising teenagers
    parenting a teenager
    single parent advice
    parenting books
    dating for single parents
    child discipline
    disciplining children

I can't say how RED HOT the topic is now, but there are a set of parents who need help with angry children and teens. One of the ways you can find them is by finding angry parents. Angry parents tend to have angry children.

Have you considered finding forums on parenting? You could search these forums and find out what main issues and concerns parents are having. Look for where the pain is, find a problem then find a solution (or create one) and sell that solution to your hungry market.

That's probably where I would start.

      Good advice here from Oliver.

Find a need through the forums, and then either find an affiliate product that fits or create your own.

Get a blog going on the same core subject, that way you have something you can use to interact with your audience and "warm them up"

I'm a single dad with 6 kids so I know a thing or too myself about parenting, and it's a very personal subject. No one wants think they are a failure when it comes to raising children, but there are some real issues out there that many want and need to address.

1st time parents I would think is a great market to tap into. I know I would rather ask a mate who was a new dad rather than ask my mum or dad or god forbid the Inlaws!!

There's LOADS of forums out there, it's just a matter of getting yourself active in there. Get posting, find out what people are struggling with, what they want and then get creating!

      Best of luck buddy!

    Adoption
    Surrogacy
    Autism/Aspergers

Some narrower focused options which are conducive to building online communities, particularly the last one.

Parenting is a very difficult niche. There is too much competition from various strong sites that have top rankings, and you cannot have your signature in their forums, they have many rules.

Young parents are not interested on preventing psychological problems or whatever. They care only about the present moment.

They shouldn’t be this way, but this is how they are.

I gotta say...that is one of the most inaccurate statements I have ever seen here on WF...and I've seen tons.

Advice on how to control and out of control child. There are millions of parents throughout the world with a kid suffering from ADHD. Most of these parents are losing their hair trying to control the kid. Big pain point. Solve it with an eBook.

If I were to go into any parenting niche, I'd focus on one that dove-tails nicely with promoting physical products. I'm not sure you'd sell digital products as easily. Amazon could be good for sure in the right niche.

However, digital product promotion is worth doing ... it's just that I'd prefer promoting physical products (toys, video games, furniture, bikes, baby stuff) because people buy that stuff by the truckloads.

As the father of a 4 year old I can't count how many times my wife or I have searched for illness related subjects. "Why does she have red cheeks" , etc...
First time parents hit the net for every little thing they don't understand about a young child.

The new parent and parents who are expecting are pretty hot. Think of everything they would need. Strollers, toys that are safe, baby cribs, etc.

Another one is how to deal with troubled children / teenagers. At least here, locally, someone advertises an infoproduct for this and they are raking it in.
