One landing page for mutable lists? Can it be done?

The other night put some info into a landing page. And it seemed like I got email from five different people within minuets. Could that one landing page have been hooked to more then one list? I think it was a Get Response page.

If that is the case. Why wouldn't 4-5 people team up and all buy a few solo ads. And get a great jump on a list. At that point you could start JV and branch out on your own.

Or has this been going on awhile and I am just coming across it.

Thanks
Stefan

    Yep.

And some solo ad sellers (and ad swap partners) get very upset when they catch people doing this...

    Hope this helps.

This was from someone well know in the solo ad selling and training area of this site. It makes me wounder if that is there list building system.

This is a second generation person.

Yep. This is something that is taught quite a bit "behind the scenes"...

It is possible and unethical. I don't even see what the point would be as people will unsubscribe right away anyways. Ruining any chance of a real sale and recurring customer.

If this happened to me, they would be getting complaints left and right. We all know, the autoresponder companies don't like complaints.

Its vary enticing for someone like myself with a list that includes my mom and sister. But I guess it would be like building a house of cards. What would it be worth in the end? I would guess not much seeing these people would get pounded right from the start.

I am sure the huge money system has a way to filter them.

I don't really understand the the situation you guys are talking about. What I'm about to say may be something completely different. Please let me know if there is any problem with what I'm doing...

I have software that I use as an affiliate tool that allows me to put up a squeeze page. My affiliates can connect their autoresponder to the squeeze page and send traffic to the squeeze page.

The squeeze page then adds the new subscriber's name and email address to the affiliate's autoresponder when the affiliate uses his affiliate link to the squeeze page.

The free report is delivered by my software which automatically brands the report with the affiliate's links. It is the easiest way to have affiliates give away your reports because they just have to connect their autoresponder by pasting their AR form code in the affiliate tools area and copy paste the first email into their autoresponder so they deliver the download info to the new subscriber.

The squeeze page is also branded with the affiliates name.

Here there are multiple people using the same squeeze page but it only works for that one affiliate link at a time to that affiliate's autoresponder.

I don't think this is the same thing you guys are talking about here.

Let me know if you see any problem with what I'm doing for my affiliates.

    Best regards,
    Steve yakim

      Hey Steve,

You are doing it the "legit" way...

The way the OP mentions is basically a handful of people sharing the same leads - regardless of the origin of the traffic.

      Cheers,
      Coby

The mechanics are pretty simple, really. You can do multiple form submits from one form with a few javascript gymnastics.

It's only unethical if it's hidden from the person filling out the form. I recall one project where people moving to a new area could fill out a simple form and have their info sent to several different service businesses they were likely to want when they moved. The businesses were all listed right on the form page, so people knew they were going to hear from multiple businesses.

Not making the disclosure is a different story altogether. To my eye, hiding the fact that someone is joining multiple lists is very much akin to the hidden continuity offers that were so popular until people started going to jail.
