Ad swapping with tiny list - need help.

I just started list building, and only have about 60 subscribers in my aweber account, and so far making nothing but one sale in OTO, but i was just wondering if i can swap with that list, is it possible to swap if you have less than 1000?

Of course, but you need to realize a couple of things..

    1) You aren't going to be able to generate many clicks with a list that small

    2) You will have to do some searching for someone who would be willing to swap with you (preferable they have around the same amount of subs)

You could do clickbanking. Where you build up clicks to someone and then they send you that many back.

I would recommend that you keep building up that list

So clickbanking is not about Clickbank and is similar to adswap?

You can do adswaps with any size list. Just find someone who is sending a similar amount of clicks.

I see folks on Safe Swaps doing 5-20 click swaps all the time...

Here is the url to that site ~> Ad swaps, sell solo and buy solo mailings - Safe-Swaps

If your offer is in IM/MMO, then safe swaps will work even if you have less than 100 let alone 1000. Be prepared for a slow, steady process, but it can be done.

If you are unable to make any money I can't imagine you're able to guarantee many clicks and for such a small list it seems like a waste of time.

Ad swapping isn't the best idea, don't give away your already tiny list to other people. You're giving subs away just to get some new subs that somebody else wanted rid of. So you lose some and gain some but at the end of the day the list doesn't really grow that much and you just end up with a load of pissed of subs who's been passed from list to list.

      I disagree wholeheartedly with this...

Ad swaps are excellent when done in moderation and I've received many long term customers from ad swaps...

In fact, I did a 150 click ad swap on Wednesday that resulted in about 65 new subs and 5 new buyers...

      Not bad for free traffic

P.S. The secret is to not "abuse" ad swaps or the subscribers you get from them because this is exactly what most marketers are doing. Stand out - give them value and you'll be many steps ahead of your competition.

Don't let people discourage you. I'm going to tell you exactly what you need to do to build your list. It is how I got started and now have several autoresponders with over 100,000 subscribers.

You can do what I did. I purchased 1,000 leads. That gave me enough subscribers to do adswaps. These are the only leads that I have purchased.

There are a large number of services that will allow you to buy subscribers for your newsletter. Prices range from 10 cents per subscriber on up. They all work pretty much in the same way. They list your ezine along with a lot of other ezines and they charge you according to the predetermined price was to send the subscribers your way.

The subscribers are usually generated as they click on check boxes for each of the ezines that they want to join. Traffic to the Co-registration sites is generated all different kind of ways, but usually it's some kind of contest or some other kind of freebie that the person is trying to get and that is why they join these lists.

You will get the number of subscribers you order if you use the right service but to honest, these subscribers will not be good quality subscribers because they only join to get that incentive or join a contest. So they may not read your messages you send.

Even though I have said this, let me tell you how to make Co-registration subscribers worth the investment. This is still a good way to get subscribers and get them quickly is to use some guidelines.

Stay away from services that use pre-checked check boxes or select all check boxes. Many of these services use pre-checked boxes so when a person signs up to get the free incentive or join the contest, they are automatically signed up to all the ezines listed. The likely hood of the person reading any of the ezines is very unlikely.

You want to use a service that makes the person manually check each newsletter that they are interested in receiving based on the description of each newsletter.

The second guideline is to purchase only double opt-in subscribers. So even if it cost more, always purchase double opt-in subscribers. You see, with double opt-in the person is required to confirm their email address that they submitted before they are actually added to your list.

So double opt-in subscribers cost more but they have shown interest by going to their email account and clicking on a link to confirm they want to be on your list. This gives you a higher quality subscriber.

The third guideline to follow is to create a highly targeted description of your newsletter. Do this in advance before purchasing any subscribers because you only want subscribers who are very interested in the content you provide.

Since you are going to be paying for each subscriber the service sends your way, you only want subscribers who are interested in your content. So the more precise you can be in your newsletter description, the likely hood of receiving tightly targeted subscribers is much better.

I hope this has been helpful,
    Steve Yakim

I'd do some solo ads first, to get your squeeze page, and conversions tweaked, then do the odd ad swap...

      I do this in reverse...

I use the free traffic from Ad swaps to test and tweak my conversions...

THEN I buy the solo ads... helps get the most from your buck

      Hope this helps.

100 subscribers can too small to start ad swapping.
Try to build up your list to around at least 300 before considering Ad Swap.

One way to build up your list fast is to start buying solo-ads.
There are few good providers around at Warrior Forum.

My tip is to have a spreadsheet to document all the Solo Ads providers (clicks rates, conversion rate, email). Buy small quantity to test out. If the response is good, then only proceed to scale up the clicks size.

Yea you can swap with a list that size. You can use safe-swaps.com and I believe there are marketers on there who are just starting off with lists that size as well. Also try JV giveaways. These are awesome!! go to newjvgiveaways.com and check out the events coming up.

    Hope this helps
