When recording videos to use with video marketing what is the best way to promote them in lengths of time?

Is it better to have one long video of say one and a half hours or break the video into smaller ones?

Neither, make about a 10 minute video that will be easy to rank high in Google...

People have pretty short attention spans to shorter videos are better. Also, you want the videos to load fast so you can break videos up into multiple parts as well.

I try to keep things simple with my affiliate videos. If you're looking to upload on YouTube, then I would suggest putting out shorter videos, which could then link off to other videos.

For example: I'm selling an iPad Video Lessons product, but I am also offering my own free lessons in the form of YouTube videos, which contain links to the actual product in the video description.

I would keep them under 10mins for marketing as well as attention spans.

    Be well,

It's also best to get straight to the point in videos and its the same with content. Always get straight to the point and provide your visitors exactly what they are looking for.

In almost all aspects of video, whether training videos or video marketing, several short videos is always better than one long video.

Break things up. It makes it much easier and less daunting for people to consume.

I think that as long as you are able to convey your message & people don't get too bored with it, but rather enjoy it, then it doesn't matter the length. Sometimes people want more when it's all over.

  • One thing to think about is that you need to set yourself apart from everyone else that is also trying to market the same product. Lots of people create a video of a screen capture of and affiliates website and then post it on Youtube. This is really pointless since there are sometimes hundreds of the same video. You have to be creative and do something that all the other affiliates are not if you want to beat everyone else and get the sale.

Unless your are Tarantino or Spielberg, one and a half hours is waaaaaaaay too long.

Plus, with multiple videos you have multiple opportunities and keyword possibilities to promote.
