I've been there, done that. Several of my friends ask me how I make so much money "with no effort" (ha, if they knew how many hours I actually work).

Despite the fact that I tell them the best methods that actually make money, none of them have been able to stick to IM for more than a week.

So I think that you should first explain that it's not easy and that there's a 90% chance or more that he's going to fail.

If he still insists you should direct him to this forum and you should teach him what you already know.

I'd probably suggest some form of affiliate marketing, but yes, I agree that you need to let them know there's going to be a lot of work involved. Of course, if you like what you're doing, then it's a labor of love.

Tell your friend to start a blog in a niche he/she is passionate about and teach him/her the ropes of list building and affiliate marketing.

DO NOT offer to help any 'friend' who wants to come into this IM world....you'll regret it.

It'll drain too much of your time, they will most likely fail.....honestly, you'll be putting your friendship in jeapordy.

Hey, if your friend has 0 experience tell him/her to start blogging about a subject he/she is passionate about.

Blogging is quite simple. Tell your friend that if he/she is serious about an online business to get a domain name for the blog, set up a Wordpress blog on a web host and start writing articles about the topic.

Setting up a blog is easy and it does not cost much. A domain name at Netfirms costs only 7.95 for .com and web hosting at Hostgator will cost between 6.95-9.95 per month.

At Hostgator, the 24/7 support will tell your friend exactly how to start a wordpress blog, or check out this forum or do a youtube search on how to start a blog

Once the blog is established, explore venues to monetize your blog and venues to build the list. While your friend is developing a blog he/she needs to keep reading and learning.

Tell your friend to join this forum

    Good luck

If your friend wants to learn how to market online then point them to this forum and let that be it. If they are not willing to put the time into figuring out how to do the basics themselves and fail at them basics, then they are not worth the time. Sure if they need a little help every now and then, give it to them but make them EARN it. I was talking to someone the other day here on the WF, if he shows me that he actually wants it and puts in the effort, I am more then willing to give my advice if he needed it.

      YES. THIS.

The War Room is a great way to surround yourself with people who are standing where you wanna stand. The war room is host to "6 figure earning" experts, "just replaced their job income" intermediates, and, as you say "zero experience" newbies.

I think the War Room is okay but I wouldn't make it a priority for a newbie. It is mainly filled with old WSOs or WSOs that never were from my experience. There are a few diamonds among the rough however.

Ask that your friend begin by being more honest and less shameful for being without the necessary knowledge.

You can learn by getting your head stuck into info on this forum and there are many opportunities available in the War Room as suggested.

Reading the responses to the threads which you yourself have started off, here, over the last 3 weeks, might also be pretty instructive to your friend? There's some pretty good advice in several of them, and at least they'll help him/her to avoid some of the key mistakes you made yourself, when you were starting.

I'd certainly show your friend how you achieved the following...

Yes I will be using YouTube, I have an account with 24,000 subscribers and I avg. 1 million + views a video over the time of a month.
That's very impressive in a just a few weeks.

Ask him to write down 3 things he is passionate about (knows something about) and take it from there. Can he build a business around his likes?

If you have a bit of money to get started, I would suggest selling on eBay and Amazon. As long as you research your market and products carefully, it is much easier for a beginner to make some sales on established marketplaces, compared to their own personal website. Getting those early sales, can be a great motivator in moving your business forward. Using services such as Amazon FBA, the packaging and postage can be outsourced.

If you don't want the hassle of physical items, then blogging using an easy to use platform like WordPress is a good route to take. But, you really need something unique or different in your content. You don't need to reinvent the wheel or come up with a groundbreaking new idea, but you DO need some sort of angle to the blog to differentiate from everyone else. Once you establish your "identity" then you can expand the content and talk about more "genreic" topics, since you now have an audience who is interested in your thoghts and opinions.

Having said all of that, I have the strangest feeling that this whole thread is just to gather information for a new info product, and worse this "friend" may not even exist.

I would ask him to read the warrior forum and try to understand what IM is all about. Let him venture and try a couple of things. If after couple of months, he is still keen and interested even if he has no success at all, i would show him what i know.

Most people fail in IM just because they can't see the money but if they are still hungry for success even if they fail over and over again, I would give them a hand.
