Warriors,

I am looking for a free/inexpensive or very well recommended WP plugin or something similar to be able to create easy squeeze pages so that I can start capturing email addresses.

MemberMouse integrates with WordPress and lets you build a mailing list - but it's more geared towards the advanced marketer and might be overkill for your needs.

For simple squeezepages a WYSWYG html editor is probably better than a wordpress site.

I would recommend that you use strong personal branding, and I hope that you actually have a strong lead magnet people in your niche actually want. Far better to do this than just be another cookie cutter marketer.

You should just type in google free squeeze page templates and im sure you will find tons of people offering html squeeze pages that you can use for free, all you have to do is paste your autoresponder code in there.

There's some things you should consider, when selecting WP as a platform for squeeze pages:

1. Static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will beat Wordpress in speed. Almost everything in Wordpress is kept in the database so it needs to make database calls. And that's added overhead that HTML doesn't have.

If you combine static HTML with free Cloudflare caching, you'll get some quick loading squeeze pages.

2. Wordpress does things in the background. I had some tracking links in some OTO pages and Wordpress would periodically visit the links. I still haven't determined whether it was a built-in functional of Wordpress or a plugin.

Quite honestly, this guy's squeeze page generator (non affiliate) may do exactly what you need it to. It will create static HTML and he also has a WordPress theme that creates squeeze pages too.

  WP Optins (version 1) is free... just Google it. I use WP Optins 2 - the squeeze pages created using this plugin are great looking
