Need advice on website. Kill it or let it live

Hey guys, I made a website a while back. bestproposalideas.com.
since then, it has been over run with spammers. I just recently cleaned it up but I'm wondering if you guys think this would be profitable/popular. If it's not worth my time, I'm just going to drop it

The question is how would you plan to monetize it?

You need a specific plan for the site.

This is something only you can decide.

      Are you passionate about it?
It doesn't sound like it if you're asking if you should "kill" it.

      How is it monetized?
Everything can be monetized (popular/profitable) - You just need a plan.

But this brings me to the first question, if you're not passionate about it - why bother?

If you're questing it, I say "kill" it.

    The domain isn't great either.

I had no idea what I was expecting to find on the domain because I couldn't work out what the domain actually said until I went to your site and saw it broken into words.

I can't fathom how to monetize that site other than "AdCents." Did you have a plan to sell something from the site when you registered it? I personally would drop it. Don't like the domain name and don't see a good way to make it profitable and wouldn't want to write content for that topic (boring).

The wedding/ proposal niche is a popular niche but you have to want it.

If you aren't going to put the effort in then there is no point.

I hadn't even visited it. Didn't even think about it being related to wedding proposals until you wrote this and I visited.

Give the OP more options for monetizing, but I think it would have to have really dynamite content to attract visitors. Still hate the domain name. Rather see a great brandable domain name for the site and maybe some user submitted "proposals" ... maybe even broken down into categories like funniest proposals, etc. Since the "wedding" user for this site would be at the Proposal stage, I don't know if selling wedding supplies would be successful and I doubt that many people buy an engagement ring online unless they were looking for great deals on previously owned diamonds.

Those are just some of my thoughts on it.

Thanks for the input guys. I think having categories for funniest or most romantic proposal is helpful.
But I think I am going to kill it, but before I do, I might invest another week in it just bc it took around a week or so to create everything for the site.

I have a diamond affiliate where I have been paid $2,000+ so far on another site. I was thinking that since this is a proposal niche, everyone on the site should be looking for engagement rings...
Aother part of the site is where mostly women would want to share their experience to being proposed. Average time between proposal and the wedding is about a year... so absolutely I can advertise wedding favors, groomsmen gifts etc. Problem is just making the site popular and knowing where and how to get the site known

Really? I'm pretty sure I would have an engagement ring picked well in advance and it wouldn't be anything I found online. That's just me though...
