How 5 Visitors per Day turns in 20475 in 90 Days!

Hey guys,

I just wanted to post on the power of consistent action and how over time small things can snowball into massive things. Here is a little thought experiment.

If you take an action that gets you 5 visitors per day. Say you post some content, send it to some social media sites etc and this gives you 5 per day. Then you do it again the next day and the next day. So call action for day 1 A1, action for day 2 A2 etc

Day 1 - 5 visitors from A1 (action on day 1)
Day 2 - 5 visitors from A1 and 5 visitors from A2 = 10 visitors that day
Day 3 - 5 visitors from A1, 5 from A2, from A3 = 15 visitors that day

if you keep this going to day 90

Day 90 - you get 450 daily visitors! and have had a total of20475 visitors in the 90 days.

Even if you follow this idea getting only 1 visitor per day you will have by day 90- 90 visits per day and a total of 4095 visits over the 90 days.

This isn't intended as a tactic or strategy just to open your mind to the power of taking small steps and building a great business, brick by brick. Consistent actoin is the key to success in every pursuit, it's how you build up skills in anything learning guitar, sport and business!

Do you guys have any thoughts on this one?

This is just the kind of random stuff I think about.

Peace:p

    That's what it's all about ;- )

    Take Action!

No matter how small, anything is better than nothing.

    Great little post!

When I got started, years ago, I used to post an article a day to Ezinarticles, no matter what.

It really adds up and compounds fast, and is a very longterm strategy.

    Great Idea...

Though a bigger deal is finding 90 actions to take.

Plus the major obstacle in this is whether by the 90th day the first action will still bring in any visitor.

Good point about taking consistent action though.

This step has always work for me.
    I always get at least 10 - 20 visitors
per day using this method, even if it's
    a new site.
The goal here is building it at a consistent
level and in no time you will be getting volume
    of traffic to your site.

I think this is something everyone needs to work on, myself included. We tend to always want results immediately. What happens when we do not see that is we become frustrated and jump to the next big thing.
We then get into the same cycle and before you know it time has passed with nothing to show. I think if we can just overcome that stumbling block we would see a lot more people seeing the success they so truly want and deserve.
    Thanks for posting.

That means either you have low quality visitors or you have a webpage with terrible conversion.

Thanks for the great post, Bryce. You're absolutely spot-on, taking consistent action is essential for growth. The problem can be that we want to see instant results and when we don't see anything earth-shattering it can make us feel that what we're doing isn't working or it's not worthwhile. But it's important to look to the long-term and bear in mind that these smaller actions can snowball and turn into something big further down the line.

It just reminded me of the old "If you started with 1 cent and doubled your money every day, how much would you have after 30 days?" brain teaser

Consistency is the key to success in everything. Not only IM but in general life aswell. A lot of people think they can sleep them self to success. And when they realize that it isn`t working they move on to the next method. Take action and be consistent and you WILL win.

    Great post

Yes, a Thousand mile journey starts with the first step. Small daily doses of action can create an avalanche of traffic. Of course, you need to have a plan, a way to monetize your traffic and a lot of persistence.

Small actions on a consistent basis leads to great things. Sure it takes time and patience but it is all worth it.

The problem with most people is that they don't want to take action and are never consistent when they take that first step.

Great post, people just see the "big earners" as magically getting the results they do with very little effort but this is the exact type of thing they (or their outsourcers / employees) are doing.

thing is, momentum like this takes three things: discipline, focus and dedication to keep going when most of us just want to move onto the next thing.

Hey Primetime, I definitely think that consistent action is vital in promoting a web business.

However, I'm not sure if it will EXACTLY lead to 20,000+ visitors by the end of the month. The law of diminishing returns means that that action which was taken yesterday that net you 5 visitors probably won't net you 5 NEW visitors the next day - because the previous visitors wouldn't all rush back to see the site every day. Not to mention, after a while, you'll pretty much "tap out" that particular market/site, and overtime you won't get many unique/new visitors from site A1 simply because they've already seen your content already.

Also, it may be a bit difficult to find an entirely new market/group every single day.

That being said, I think it is DEFINITELY a great idea to always push to new markets/sites for promotion and marketing, so that you can find the best group that will garner you the most traffic and sales

Totally true. When I started my royalty free music site DanoSongs 5 years, I only had 10 songs available, one web page, and I was getting like 10 visitors a day.

Then once or twice a month I consistently released a new track. Visitors started to grow. I kept releasing tracks. People spread the work, I got more visitors. I opened a community site, I started a Facbeook and twitter. I started a blog, I released more tracks. More and more visitors came, and people started coming back, on and on...

Now, since doing this day by day, month by month, I have over a hundred tracks and around 3,000 visitors a day. Over 1 million people have visited my site, and over 160,000 videos on YouTube use my music. The Internet is just incredible.

The real key though is being passionate and genuinely excited about what you are doing. Otherwise you will give it up and move on to the next thing.

Great motivation! I like your idea there! If you just put your faith in what you are doing, you will get there. Although it’s does not apply to all (some see results early some late) you just have to continue until you get there!

Consistency works. But finding the small action that brings 5 visitors/day, everyday is the tricky part.

I used to post on ezinearticles for a while, but then gave up due to ... I dunno, life.

But what you say is true, and I know consistent action (I call it value-added work) does bring benefits in the long run.
