I Got Hacked - Need Help - Must Read for all

INTERNET MARKETING

I have been earning $300-$350 per day from one website via AdSense as I had been ranking for few competitive keywords..

But, I have lost it all..

The most important thing of all is my Roboform Data which stores all my passwords are completely deleted.

Files which are important is also been deleted. Not just that even hosting accounts, VPS, Websites, affiliate accounts are all gone.

The worst part is I NEVER KEPT any BACK UPS. I was always very lazy when it comes to keeping BACK UPS..

One of the reasons why I am sharing this to all so that U don’t suffer the same.. So I request all WF member PLEASE KEEP BACK UP of everything which is important for you..

Learn from observation please don’t wait until U experience what I did..
One of the Biggest problem which I am having now is that I don’t know the passwords of most of my accounts as I use Roboform which saves all my passwords & all my passwords are backed by one master password..

AdSense is the major source of income and unfortunately I don’t know the username and password. I know that sounds very weird & I am ashamed to tell this.

When I was a new to IM world like 3 years ago I had someone over Fiverr get an AdSense account. The AdSense account was attached to a Hotmail account & I never used the Hotmail account again. Unfortunately I don’t remember the exact Hotmail User ID which is making me almost impossible to access my AdSense account. I think I get this fixed but I need sometime.

I have written a mail to AdSense but I have still not received any reply from them.

I always used one of my gmail accounts if had to purchase anything online which is also been hacked.

The only thing which I have access is my VPS but even my VPS is completely empty.. I had a lifetime license of Senuke Xcr, ScrapeBox, Bookmarking Demon and many more but none of them are found in my VPS..

I am completely screwed right now..

I request all to keep back of everything which is important for you..

First sorry for this.

But just take this as a "lesson learnt" and start working on recovering your lost information. It won't be an easy task but eventually you will recover.

I once had my hard drive with all my internet data formatted by someone who just had to put in a new mother board and not format anything.

This was a year back, but now I've fully recovered from it. I had to recover most of my passwords, softwares and build new sites.

So start working on recovering your data and learn from your mistake.

How did it happen? There are generally 3 ways to get hacked:

1) via the webapplication (wordpress, joomla etc)
2) via the webserver
3) your PC gets a trojan which steals all of your webhost passwords.

I'm wondering what happened to you?

Please take Backups I don't want anyone to go through which I have suffered..

I 1st thing I did after getting access to my PC is recovering the data. Most the file I could not be recovered. The most important of all was my Roboform data. I became very happy when I got my Roboform Data file but I got really sad when I found out it is corrupted.

1st thing i do when i code a website or any APP

SCRIPTS for daily backups to home server (raspberry pi) and to email.

At the end of the week all the backups goes to 2 pendrives(replicated).

1 Always with me, the other one stored at home

I reach 5k clients atm, and my website works with tokens, it would be a mess if i lose all of this :/

Thanks for the reply hsbinmarket.. Completely true We either earn profit or experience.. In my case I have earned experience & this experience will make sure that future profits are never taken away from me..

Considering the 6 figure income loss you have occurred, I would have got technical help to fix this mess ASAP. Deleted is not always deleted and gone is not always gone.

Who was your hosting company and did they make any backups? For example, HostGator does backups for their vps customers.

Also, why not pay a data recovery company to restore as much as possible from Google Cache and other places?

I am sorry for the lose. I would listen and learn from your experience. I had a friend who got hacked on his server and all other files got messed up last 2 weeks ago. And from that I keep constant back up on my files.

Thanks for warning us about this, I just backed up some of my important stuff in the internet.

Like what Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich book said, a failure is a blessing packaged in a way you didn't expect. You're still breathing right? That's great, it means you can still FUNCTION to get where you were before (or better!)

Did you have Roboform Everywhere? If it was on your smartphone or tablet, you can access the data since it's cached on the device. Just be sure to disconnect from the internet before opening the program.
