One Extra IM Action Every Week. . .

I have gotten into the habit of working an extra dedicated two hours a week on a special catch up project. I do it on Sunday.

All through the week I work my usual IM schedule, approximately four hours a day. There is no compromise with this work plan and I see to it that my feet are kept to the fire all seven days.

But on my named day, without fail, I work on an additional annoying task that usually escapes me during the week. This day is reserved for all those time taking tasks I find most difficult to accomplish. You know, the challenging items that never seem to get done.

I work two hours or less on this Sunday action project. And if the task is large I break it up into as many Sunday “extra action days” as needed to whip it into shape. Also, I always pre-plan to give myself a reward I look forward to when that job is done. Happily the reward is always equal to or surpasses the task in satisfaction. I make sure of that!

I have had great success tidying up the messy parts of my business this way that would otherwise diminish my ability to keep the operation tight and productive.

Are there warriors who do anything like this?
