What would be the best route to find a business development manager in the US? Craigslist? I am not looking to post a major position on Monster or other job sites as I need someone familiar with internet marketing/web design/SEO/etc......Anyone have a good place to look?

Also trying to do a JV but apparently its close to impossible to do one if you haven't been on here forever.

The term 'business development manager' is very broad... Which makes the question tough to answer.

Employees are liabilities and have all kinds of extra costs... Independent contractors are probably the best bet, but it really depends on your situation.

Building yourself a team through oDesk or Elance is a great way to get great skills at an extremely competitive price... You mention that you want them to be in the US, but remember that if you hire out to other countries where the exchange rate and cost of living are in your favor, you can sometimes get and incredible deal on all kinds of non-english required tasks.

We have built quite the little marketing firm with the help of oDesk and no employees. We have contractors here in the US and all across the world who keep our business growing literally 24/7.

Being able to lay out a series of tasks before finishing up for the evening and then in the morning waking to find that all the tasks are done!?!?! It is absolutely amazing and can really help a business grow at a very fast pace.

Thank you for your response. I know about those sites and things but I wanted to know if there was a better option for finding something. I don't need someone to do the work for me, I like doing the work, but I want someone to go out and talk to the small businesses, chamber of commerce members, etc...Thats what I need help with.

Try checking out the Classifieds. I'm sure there are a few warriors who would be willing to help with all those things for the right price. Also, don't forget about Fiverr! You can find almost anything there for about 5 bucks.

Finally, if you're having an issue with JV's think of the people that you have bought products from including introductions to IM. Contact the people whose lists you're registered on!

If you're looking for salesmen to help you out on a commission basis, then you can check out the classifieds, post relevant ads in the classifieds and local newspapers.

Craiglist is awesome for many things but not so sure about finding a business manager. I would use niche specific forums like warriorforum and others...you would probably have more success with a better target
