    Even encoding by ioncube can be decoded. If you are thinking long term about your would be plugin, then even if your plugin be nulled in its any given version, you will just take it as a feedback and will create an even more updated plugin with more features. To say it in short, be honest with your plugin and give support for that in a long term basis which will help you to come up with many new ideas, quirks, & features to incorporate in it and launch it as an update.

    In a way, leaking of your plugin in the market generates a passive marketing & upselling for your future updates.
