online course software like Ryan Deiss?

Hey all,

Does anybody know what software Deiss is using for his online product delivery? (see attached). I don't need it to be exactly like that, but I am looking for a solution that's sexy, functional, and flexible. If anybody knows what he's using, or knows of something similar, I'd be much obliged!

Thanks

Tried looking at the source code? If you can post a link to the login form to access the course someone may be able to take a look at the code and let you know - assuming it's browser based.

There's no actual login page for that course specifically. You log into the members area, and then there's a button that takes you to members/course/.

What is it specifically that you like? To me it just looks like a list of videos down the left hand side and the video plays on the right hand side?

From all of my products I have quickly come to learn that people much prefer to be able to download the videos and watch them on their own computer rather than having to login everytime they want to watch a video.

        So keep that in mind.

I don't know if the majority prefer or not.. But i personal like the look and feel of a membership area.. Even better if it gets updated regularly.. I don't mind watching the videos online.

A good reason why you should enable video streaming instead of downloading is that blocking them from downloading content will cut down serial refunders. Well most of the time

          Cheers,

I let all of my members download their videos and always have. My average refund rate is less than 1% across a heap of products. It doesn't play a big role in refunds at all. If people want to steal your content they will still download your streamed videos. There are plenty of tools out there that allow you to download a streaming video. So this really doesn't stop anything and isn't a big enough reason for me to stream videos. It's a pain in the bum when you want to rewatch a specific part of the video and you have to reload the whole video and wait for that part. This is not an issue when you allow people to download the videos they have paid for.

There are a few simple things I like about it. First, it tracks progress. If you look at the image I uploaded, you'll see the arrow on the bottom right. When you click those it automatically checks the checkbox on the left for the lesson you just completed. It also has the progress bar on the top left, and each module expands when clicked to show the lessons each side

I don't need all the bells and whistles, but I really do like the general, minimal layout, the way the modules are presented, and the ease of use.

Anyone have ideas of wordpress themes, plugins, or SaaS that might do this?

In case anybody's interested, I found out what he was using:

Actually it's custom, but that ProProfs things looks pretty cool. We plan to launch a SaaS course-builder that allows people to crank out these checklist-style courses later on this year, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
