Weight loss is a rough niche. You might start out with creating a product for website owners and promoting that as a warrior special offer or through solo ads, then move into the weightloss niche, but remember you are dealing with peoples health and thats a serious issue that you better know a lot about.
Always send your traffic to your own email squeeze page, then redirect to the affiliate link after you get their email. The money is in promoting products daily/weekly to your list, if you are sending directly to the affiliate link without getting their email, you are losing a lot of income.

First of all, you should know that there is a learning curve to this stuff. Making money just doesn't happen overnight. It's all about learning, implementing, and duplicating your success. With that said, you should start a blog on your own domain and build a list of targeted buyers using an autoresponder like Aweber.

Your blog should consist of both product review and articles on stuff that goes on in your niche. You will get traffic from both your articles and product reviews. Your e-mail list will act as a second stream of income for your blog. In order to write a quality review, you need to actually purchase the product you're reviewing, so you know what kind of stuff works and what doesn't.

Try building it around a Facebook Fanpage, using the fan page as your LP.

This will help conversions a ton!

Create a blog, post new articles weekly, promote these posts on social media. Create Facebook fan page and twitter account. You can promote your new posts here. Create an account in Youtube where you can post your "how to" 'tips to lose weight" videos. However, do not expect to earn money immediately.

There's plenty of good weight loss traffic to be had from YouTube, plus it's free traffic too. Also try sites like Yahoo Answers and Quora for more free traffic.

Ok. The weightloss niche is a BIG industry with a lot of competition,but there are a few good ways to market your products.

A good pure work/non SEO way of getting traffic is through forums. The weightloss niche is big,and that means it should be a few forums out there with a lot of traffic. To redirect some of that traffic to your offers takes some work:

-Register to a forum that allow signaturelinks.

-Get info. Read as much as you can on your niche. Become an expert

-Start answering posts on the forum. Be helpful and make it look like you are an expert. Be consistent. Write at least ten posts a day. Always with helpful and quality content.

-If you are thinking about writing articles on e-zine etc.Skip it and post it on the forum as a guide/tutorial instead.

-People will soon enough realize you are the real deal and start to click your link in the description box. DON`T put affiliatelinks in the signaturebox. Set up a squeezepage instead to capture the leads and put your offers in the autoresponder sequence.

Build a list by giving away a free weight loss guide trough a squezze page.

Promote the page trough paid traffic like fb ads, bing ads, media buys, solo ads etc.

*Consider writing awesome valuable articles or pay someone to do that and do guest posts on relevant blogs.

Weight loss is more of an industry than a niche. What you need to do first is find the niche within his industry. You need to narrow down all the search and focus on one or two topics. Could be " how to lose stomach fat quickly or how to make the Atkins diet work for you" - Please, note that I have just taken these example randomly, and they may not be what you're after.

You must identify something that your future audience is CRAVING for! Do some market research, refine the search and narrow it down as much as you can, bearing in mind the competition, monthly search etc.

With regards to promotion, I would lay out a masterplan that could include- article marketing, social media, blog and forum commenting as well as paid ads if you have the budget.

You can't solely rely on one particular method to get decent traffic these days, especially in a big industry like weight loss.

You can't do direct linking on Facebook ads, they won't accept. Even if they did, direct linking does not work that well anyway, speaking in terms of long term profit, especially as you are paying money for your traffic.

You can either build a blog, fill it with a lot of quality articles and link to that with your Facebook ads. Monetize your blog with your affiliate products and a mailing list.

Or, you could directly link to your squeeze page. Better yet, create a fan page around your niche and link to your squeeze page and blog from there. Then, promote your fan page via Facebook ads. They love their own pages, so I'm sure you'll get approved if your page is good enough.

You could also try getting banner ads in popular sites. But, check their traffic before you pay them any money.

Discussion groups work really well, so search out big forums in the weight loss niche and share your knowledge with them. You can promote your blog or squeeze page in your signature links. Remember, you need to really help people in order to be taken seriously.

If you are going to start a blog, go the authority blog route. Update your blog regularly with useful content, and over the time, you'll start getting search Engine traffic too.

You could make a reviewpage/blog. Be sure to mention the pros and cons.The reviews need to look natural and honest. Capture the leads with an autoresponder service. Give a Freebie in exchange for their e-mail adresses.

Whats your website? Just make things simple. I would be building a list and selling to my list. Try other places other than Facebook ads to promote your offers. Consider PPC, solo ads, blog advertising, and lots of free marketing... so that you can get 100% profits on every sale made, and even out your costs of paid advertising.

I've had a bit of success promoting health niche affiliate products by posting answers on health and lose weight forums with my masked affiliate link as the signature. I also tried yahoo answers, not much sales, but still I am getting traffic to my blogs.

I am totally agree with you all. According to me you should have to take care of your diet. and also try to avoid fast food and other oily food. With that you should must do some exercise. Cycling and swimming are best option to weight loss.

Blogging is a great way to promote that niche. Create a blog around that topic and then go to the mega blogs in that nice and post helpful comments that provide value and through that funnel the traffic back to your blog which is set up with your affiliate offers and banners on the right side.

You can share your products on facebook. Its a great social media platform to promote any products.

That's a saturated market.

Facebook fan page creation, setting up the retargetting pixel for fbk ads , driving traffic to squeeze page , a strong funnel and having a great backup email series will do the trick. It is hard work but it will pay off.

There is so much of the same on weight loss that people doesn´t react to ads unless you have something new or different. You need to come up with your own angle in your super targeted niche and be an authority. Social media is good but not for everybody all the time. Traffic from forums is free and can also be a good idea to get in touch with your prospect. You need also a good funnel to collect emails and sell later your products.

Find an easier niche if you're a beginner.

I'll be expanding into a particualr niche of weight loss soon and I feel I have one particular advantage: I lost over 140lbs and got to travel the world presenting live TV as a result.
