Picasa as image host for wordpress?

Hey warriors. I have an image site with over 5 Gb of images. That is nearly 15,000 images. The numbers and size continue to increases every week.

Hosting them in my own shared hosting, puts a lot of stress on my hosting provider and I am afraid, that as the website increase in size (if it isnt big already), my website will go down more often. I get 1500 unique visitors per day and they spend around 5 minutes per page, browsing on an average 3 pages.

I was wondering if there was a way to use Picasa for my image hosting needs. They provide 15 GB of free storage, which is just perfect for my needs.

Has anybody used picasa for your image hosting? Please tell me your thoughts.

It's probably against the Picasa ToS (free use).
You can always move away from shared hosting, and get a VPS or dedicated (traditional or cloud).

All blogger blogs use Picasa has its Image host. So it unlikely that it violate the TOS.

I would like to know this too.
I have one non-commercial website and it's picture database is growing too quick for shared hosting.

I'd probably go with Amazon AWS or something like that. I'm sure that there are others here who would be able to tell you exactly how to do that or "google is your friend" but I think you're on the right path.

Like you already said, the default image host for blogspot is Picasa, so I don't see any problem.

    Here's the TOS.
