What does everbody think of it?

I suppuses a way of making a little extra income on the side, but looks like it won't be the path to amazing riches.

Plus, after doing a search on the things i'd want to promote, I couldn't really find anything that stood out that I'd want to work on.

It's a full-time living for some of us, here.

This is a different matter, of course. There are about 15,000 products listed there, I think, but if it's short of products in your niche(s), or if the ones there have unsuitable sales pages, or whatever, that clearly makes it a problem for you. Well - there are plenty of other places.

The clue was in the last of his three sentences, where he referred to "doing a search on the things I'd want to promote".

There are loads and loads of them.

Have a look at the threads with titles like "ClickBank alternatives" and so on. But be aware, as a potential affiliate, that none of them has exactly the same system as ClickBank.

With some of those "networks", one is dependent on the vendor for payment, rather than on the network (e.g. "PayDotCom", from which serious, pro-affiliates tend to keep well away, for that reason). With others, there's sometimes a questionable history and some financial/payment questions to answer (e.g. "Clicksure", who are based in China though they sometimes deny it, and whose own PayPal account has been limited!!). With several, one is entirely dependent on PayPal for all transactions (both customer transactions and collecting your money from the company), which some people see as a disadvantage (it would be off-putting for me, certainly). So don't be imagining that "they're all more or less the same" - they're far from it. ClickBank has been established for longer than Google, and has paid over $2.5 Billion to its vendors/affiliates during that time. It won't be going anywhere just yet.

Maybe. If you've already decided this even before starting. (Perhaps rightly, then). ClickBank was about all I did, for about the first 3 years of my business. I have added some other stuff since then, but CB still accounts for over 75% of my income.

I'm back at the drawing board really.

I just have to decide on what product I want to sell, get it made and selling. Dropshipping is an option, I tried selling t-shirt a year ago. but it didn't work out after I spent a small fortune buying in bulk and trying to sell on ebay. I've get loads of t-shirts (and not very good ones) stacked in the corner.

But I would prefer a digital product that people can just download or get access too with out me having to do much.

Ah, you want to be a vendor, really? So the affiliate marketing is going to be a sideline? Fair enough ... and good luck and good wishes.

One thing that I really like about clickbank is the fantastic diversity of the products listed there.

There is definitely some junk out there (so do your research!), but there are also some really good, really unique products in niches that have very little competition, or competition by people that really don't know what they are doing from a marketing point of view.

Of course, there are also some unique challenges to selling ebooks that I don't yet understand myself.

I am actually a clickbank author of the book "Miracle Mastery". I couldn't figure out how to sell it on my own (which is one of the reasons why I'm here trying to learn!) but I've got some affiliates that are absolutely crushing it for me, so if you know what you are doing, I know for a fact that some folks make very good money promoting clickbank products.

Yeah, I reckon we all want to sell our own products. I just got to find my product.

I thought about an ebook/audiobook or some kind of software that people will get value from.

I've been racking my puny brain and now it hurts. lol

Not me ... for now, at least, I have what feel like ten good reasons for preferring to be an affiliate.

Not me, either. I like "headache free," and that's what affiliate marketing is. All I have to do is send people to the site and collect my checks. Vendors have to deal with all the problems, trials and tribulations.

Do you look for particular products you like to affiliate for, or is just down to making the money?

I don't think there'd be that many issues with having your own product/service. of course you have to deal with the customers, but I got customer service experince, nearly 10 years, its one skill set I do have.

So i should be able to hand that side of it at least. any other problems I'll deal with as the turn up. And I wont be paying upto 75% to affiliates either. And if I do well enough, i'll just get a Virtual Assistant to do the grunt work, so I can go enjoy my life.

You have to study this matter and learn how to find the best affiliate products. Read many posts related to affiliate marketing.

First of all try to sell products similar to the product you want to create so that you may build your email list and have ready buyers for your product when you will launch it. You will also be more experienced if you will learn how to sell affiliate products before creating your own.

You should pay 75% to your affiliates to make them really care about promoting your product.

About finding a virtual assistant, be careful with the people you trust.

Don't you worry too much about providing customer service; many successful affiliates have way more than 10 years "experince". And of course if your product turns out to be a flop, Clickbank will take good care of our customers with its 60 day money-back guarantee. That's just one more good reason for being an affiliate.

It's only great if you have a great product that converts and good JV team to get massive amounts of traffic. Of course you could make a few hundred bucks without a good amount of affiliates but you will certainly not become rich.

Do you have a niche list who knows, likes and trusts you ?

Clickbank is nice my dude. Excellent customer support, and a great way to find affiliates for your products. Or you sign up as an affiliate, it's free, and you can be up and running within 2 hours. It really is that simple and i give it 2 thumbs up.
