Which hosting to become affiliate for?

Hey folks...

I'm hosting with hostgator and like everybody else, I'm loving them.

I have a few people on my list who might be interested in getting a website, but I did a quick search and found horror stories about the hostgator affiliate program. Even here on WF there are quite a few threads... So I thought I'd better ask again, maybe things have changed lately, or maybe there are some people who might say a couple good things about the HG aff program after all.

I have a few questions for warriors who are actually and actively promoting hosting packages, thanks in advance for all your comments!

1. Which hosting company do you work as an affiliate with?

2. Are you happy with the way this hosting company provides support for their customers (i.e. the people you refer)?

3. Are you happy with their affiliate program (i.e. do you feel like they are tracking your referrals, and paying your commission, properly)?

Cheers!

If promoting Hostgator, myself, I would do so through Commission Junction, aiming to bypass all the "Hostgator affiliate payment problems" which people commonly complain about.

(I'm not in this niche, myself, but I'm a happy customer of Hostgator.)

This is good advice. You also might look at TrafficZilla. They're pretty good.

If people are complaining about getting ripped off, leads taken from them etc, why would you consider promoting them? Doing so is basically supporting it..

      Reliabox.

      2. Are you happy with the way this hosting company provides support for their customers (i.e. the people you refer)?
Very much so. The Reliabox team takes care of its people, and doesn't beat around bushes or allow itself to be bought out by bigger companies, making it a bugger to work with.

      3. Are you happy with their affiliate program (i.e. do you feel like they are tracking your referrals, and paying your commission, properly)?
I don't think I've worked with a better affiliate program in the hosting world. Everything has run smooth as silk and like clockwork since I joined just under one year ago.

It's not a big huge household name host, but it should be, and will be if enough word gets out. I don't think I'm allowed to link to them here via my own affiliate link, so I'm throwing you a bone here: check them out, and get yourself hooked up with them. Not just for the affiliate program, but for the excellent hosting as well. You won't regret it.

psst: I was (and still am) a Hostgator affiliate long before joining Reliabox, but haven't promoted them for a year, and with recent developments I don't plan to.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Do you have to be a customer to be an affiliate? All I can get to is an affiliate sign-in page, no info or sign-up page.
