Compensation Plan Feedback / Affiliate program

Hello everyone,

What do you think about the following compensation plan for an affiliate program?

Rev-Share Campaign
Tier 1 - 50% Affiliate sale commission (lifetime residual payments)
Tier 2 - 5% SubAffiliate sale commission on Tier 2 (lifetime residual payments)

CPA Campaign
Tier 1 - $45 Affiliate sale commission (one-time cost per action)
Tier 2 - 5% SubAffiliate sale commission on Tier 2 (one-time cost per action)

What would it be your first impression when looking for a program to join and seeing these numbers?

    If you are trying to entice them with a 2nd tier i would offer more like 10-15% otherwise whats the point.

    How much will the product cost?

    The product is $60 (full price) or $40 on the Autoship program (monthly delivery). The re-order rates are high because of the Autoship program.. So on rev-share, affiliates would earn a commission on all the orders of their customers (for life).

      Sounds like solid commissions. I would just bump up the 2nd tier and would be attractive to affiliates.

        Offering a 10%-15% commission on Tier 2 would not be possible, unless we decrease the Tier 1 commission to 40%, and this might be a bad move for Tier 1.

        Not many programs in the niche offer a 50% life-time commission on Tier 1 and I think this is one of the big advantages we have over other programs.

    The numbers sound great, especially on the Rev-Share campaign. But, there are a lot of other things to consider when joining an affiliate program. How hard is to sell the product? It doesn't matter the commission if it's impossible to sell..
